LAYOFFS AT CA....UPDATED: I still have a job

They just laid off a co-worker who's been in my dept. 21 yrs and there's more to come, I just heard

Please....send some prayers my way. I need it....today I may lose my job.

Everything is crossed. It's just not fair... the bosses create a corporate accounting scandal and cook the books and the little guys have to pay for it.

they just laid off my best friend who works and sits right next to me....she is a single mom with 2 kids.....and my supervisor just got laid off. Best sup. i ever had....and it's ongoing today. They're layig us off 1 person at a time and it feels like I am watching an execution. The big boss is doing all the layoffs and right now he looks liek the angel of death to me. I am so scared.

Best of luck to you - I know quite a few people who work there (I do temp work in the CDC)... I'm wondering how this is affecting them....

Praying for all the Moms and Dads of the kids in that center too!
