Leonard's

I went to see Leonard's today and we really like this place. Everything seems just right, but I wanted to get some feedback from you ladies about this place. Has anybody been to this place for a wedding? Anything good or bad I should know? Thanks!

Re: Leonard's

We had my dad's 50th birthday party there 2 years ago. It was great. They were doing construction down stairs so I don't know what those rooms look like. Service was good and the food was good. The only bad thing was that a sweet 16 was going on next door and those darn teeny boppers were coming into my dad's party trying to get drinks! FH caught one red handed and I told our maitre d who then placed a body in front of our door so no kids would stroll in. No big deal. They handled it perfectly.
Excellent place and choice if you go with them.
Curly 2003 is having her reception there. I am sure she will share some of her experiences with you thus far.
Good Luck

Re: Leonard's

A co-worker had her wedding there last year and she raved about it. She said all though it has multiple weddings she had the room upstairs with her cocktail on the balcony and she said everything was great. She or the guest had seen any of the other weddings, she said it was secluded up there. She felt like the only bride there too. Good Luck!!

Re: Leonard's

Ok, I am so excited because after hearing what you ladies have said I think this will be the place.
We went to a few places yesterday and none of them really striked us as 'WOW, This is the one', except for Leonards.

Keep the remarks coming ladies!

Thanks so much!!

Re: Leonard's

I am having my reception at Leonard's on 6/7/03. I absolutely love it there. My parents have been there a few times and they said the food is delicious and the service is great! I've had nothing but good experiences so far when dealing with them. I am so excited to be having my reception there!

Re: Leonard's

Hi Karina! Hi Niya - good luck with your decision! Thanks for the warm welcome It's so great to find other Leonard's brides. I don't think there are too many of us...My cocktail room is the Holiday room, the center room across from the main enterance. And my reception room is the Continental room, all the way to the left (by the staircase) on the main floor. I love that room! They redid the flooring in there since I booked. It used to have dark carpeting with a hardwood dance floor. Now, the entire room is done in cream colored marble. The room is so much brighter. It's just gorgeous

Re: Leonard's

That's so funny Cecile, I'm interested in the Continental room also! My FH and I were looking for a bright room b/c all of the places we went to the rooms were so dull. I just loved that room!

Karina, I didn't even get to see the Provincial room, how many people does that hold? How does it look?

Well the Continental holds up to 180 I believe he said, and for a Friday night I have to guarantee 125 people.

Re: Leonard's

I figured I was getting a lower minimum b/c I'm in July, I haven't booked them yet, but I don't want a viennese hour. I figure it's too much and I want the cake to be the main dessert. But I am getting the chocalate covered strawberries to go along with the cake. I just love them

Re: Leonard's

How large is your wedding going to be? Do you think they have a room that will hold 300? I have heard great things about Leonard's also!

Re: Leonard's

Mine will probably be about 130 people.
Well I think they do have a room that can hold 300 upstairs the Grand Ballroom. You should call them and find out.
