Yea hopefully lol. The cake sounds very pretty and best of all it's free. I may have to look into that when i go and screw the colored cake lol.
honestly, i went to two weddings in the past few months, and cant remember how either of the cakes looked. i was too busy dancing and running around i didnt even pay attention to the cake lol.....so since its free i just stuck with it. its simple and im sure flowers will make it look a little nicer.
Yea that's so true. Did Ian mention if they can add a ribbon or like those crystals sprays on it or around the bottom of each layer for you? My problem is i fell in love with a cake like that lol.
i didnt ask about that because i wasnt interested in it, but there is the other free cake that has some lines on it like in a design so maybe youll like that cake when you see it.
Thanks . I'll check into that cake when the time comes. Hopefully they can modify it a bit.

Ladies .. I met with Ian today.. He was AWESOME!!! He was quick and straight up!! No joke.. He is not a pushy person.. I told him what I wanted and what was my focus..
FH and FMIL were there and we were all happy discussing everything with him.. I'm truly convinced I choose the right place for my wedding.. We should not worry about anything.. They treated us SOOO SPECIAL!!
We are getting an Ice Sculpture and frozen drinks.. So I'm very happy about my choices.. I'm just overwhelm with sooo much good things happening in my life..
ETA: We are not getting our cake from Leonards.. we are getting a dominican cake.. Also, LOTS and LOTS of Liquor and Champagne.. Its going to be very fun!! Since its a summer wedding we wanted to keep our guest HYDRATED!!

G.. We decided to go with a dominican cake..Its more filling than other deserts they had... I truly believe if we have a good cake we dont need any other deserts.. Plus for anything extra is $3- $5 pp.. Its too much .. Already taking into account we are giving our guest plenty of stuff to enjoy them selves... FM me and I will give you more info.. Dont want to put there business out there..

Definitely true, when you have a delicious cake you don't need the Viennese hour because ppl will wind up not eating anything that's why i'm not getting the VH. The dominican cake sounds delish lol.

Re: Leonard's of Great Neck 09er's Question & Answer thread
has anyone posted about leonard's prices per plate... I'm having an august wedding. We always wanted to have it at leonards. In all honesty, we only looked at one other place, it was no where near as nice as leonards and ended up being significantly more per plate, so we went and booked at leonards since we always wanted to have it there, but now we're both concerned that perhaps we should have shopped around some more and maybe didn't get the best deal possible...
we know the place is beautiful and as far as upgrades & options go, we have the vienesse, and many food stations and food upgrades which we are happy about. We have a full bar and wine on the tables, but we didn't even think about some of the upgrades others have mentioned like the ultra premium liquor or martini bar, etc.

I believe at most venues the martini bar and ultra premium bar are upgrades you still have to pay extra for.

The martini bar comes if you add the premium liquor .. we have that and the passed frozen drinks are also extra... it wasnt that bad though.. i think the bar is 5pp extra and the frozen drinks is flat fee of 100 extra

Re: Leonard's of Great Neck 09er's Question & Answer thread
thanks for the info about the bar options... but I was concerned about the overall cost ($134pp) and wanted to make sure that was in line and that we weren't over paying. People keep saying that prices are so low now because of the economy and I keep hearing this rumor, but so far haven't seen it in my experience, so we were concerned we didn't shop around for a good enough deal.

Ladies, how big are you having your tables? Also can you have some tables larger than the other?
I have two tables that i may need a 12 person table since those families are big and i don't want to have to put 4 of the family members in another table.

Yes, you can have tables with 12, 10 or 8 people...
You placed the number of ppl on the chart and they know what type of table to put.. Do I make sense!!
Sorry multi-tasking and eating ice cream!!
