I hope he isnt our MD because he did sound kind of rude

I don't think he does MD duties he just does all the finalization. I wonder why he is being so rude . The girls on that old thread had nothing but rave reviews about him.

well that is good to know! Well like I said I really think he may be overwhelmed because I know they lost some people there so maybe he took on alot more clients

Does anyone have any ideas as to what they want their cake to look like and what flavor? I don't even know what flavors Leonard's offers

I'm not getting the cake from Leonards... I will try and replace it with drinks...

My cake will be Dominican (Dulce de Leche).. We have to represent!! LMAOOO

Girls... I have a concern about the client treatment in Leonards..

Well last week I received a call from Ian (Leonards).. He was pretty fast and seem to be in hurry.. He called to set up an appointment for the sitdown (run down of the event).. Since I live in ATL its hard just to pick up and go.. I said I will call or email to confirm the date that he GAVE me!! He gave me a date and said if I can't make it to CALL him, otherwise not to contact him (practically)...

I like dealing with Antonio ( he is cool) but Ian seem to have a F*%k It Attitude!!

I wish he don't come out silly when I go with FH in May.. FH will not like it at all..

Has anyone had the same problem..

i was so spoiled by Antonio and his charm- When i met with Ian who i had heard WONDERFUL things about i was like
It took some time for warming up though.. But he doesnt budge.. i felt Antonio hooked things up and Ian was NOT gonna budge AT ALL..lol But overall i was happy in the end..

Just got a little annoyed that the cake were 2 standard choices..and the pics are like 20 years old.. So yes an upgrade is a must in my opinion..But i didnt go for the fancy shmancy upgrade... I kept it to a simple upgrade.. and i believe we got Canoli cream... Well i'm getting married in less that 30 days.. i will let you girls know how it was..LOL

But dont waste your time w/ emails.. I emailed him about 3 weeks ago and never got an answer back...so i called about 4 days after the email and spoke to him directly...

Alexia - he specifically said no EMAIL!!! He emphasized it when we spoke!!!!!!!!

I will be going soon to NY to finalize everything!! I hope I don't get a headache from trying to convince him!!

Oh no Ian sounds really jerky..great. . I was thinking of doing a simple upgrade too just a white cake and have a ribbon around the base of the tiers. Just something simple. Did he throw in any upgrades for you?

OOOPs- i didnt know about the NO emails..
It was a simple email really i swear..LOL How much extra was Viennese.. that was a simple question..lol
Its BEST to do things in person.. Maybe you can plan a weekend where you can meet with him and get other things done as well...

'Throw in any upgrades'??? HECK NO.. I was kinda annoyed that he wanted to charge me $$ for having someone serve pina coladas and daquaries at the door of cocktail hour.. considering i had already dished out extra $$ for an upgrade to the liquor. And FH got a bit annoyed cause Antonio had said he was gonna throw in a chocolate fountain but forgot to make note of it on our paperwork..And neither FH or I caught it..and Ian wasn't buying it..

In the end- we upgraded on the cocktail hour- decided to also have waiter service with trays of appetizers being served, we upgraded on liquor (ofcoarse- last thing i need is an Absolute Vodka headache in the morning) and cocktail hour..still up in the air about the Vienese although he did give us a good price I think- but i dont feel that kids should be paying full on vienese.. Oh well..cant have everything..we were still happy campers in the end..

Oh man that stinks that Antonio forgot that and they wanted to charge more for the serving of the pina coladas thats crazy though because you are already paying for them. At least you were happy at the end that's what matters

I think the inside of the mansion might be a little more but they are really leinent in what they let you do. I think if it rains they let you inside even if you didn't have the permit. We just went with the regular outdoor permit. Our photographer said they have this amazing path of trees where all of the trees meet in the center and make like archway. He said it makes the most beautiful picture.
