I went to this one... I had a lot of trouble as i have food allergies and also dietary restrictions, but had a really nice waiter help me identify what each dish was... i spoke with my BM (well,. my new BM since Ernest is no longer there) and i let him know the deal and he is going to have identification cards located by each dish during cocktail hour so that my guests won't have the same problems i did...

i was given a list of cocktail hour extras you can add on, i booked awhile ago though (september 07), ive heard the menu has changed since then

I was quoted $7 pp for every upgrade (except the drinkable dessert bar, that was 2 or 3 pp)

Hey Girls!!!

So this guy Ian called me yesterday to set up an appt with me and FH to go over wedding details... has anyone does this yet??? Just want to know what to expect.

Im excited and nervous all at the same time!

We got that call last week and we are going to meet with him this Saturday at 1. I can't wait!!!

When i talked to my BM he told me Ian was up to July weddings so he's gonna get you gals all done with and then move on to August... He works 3 months prior... or something like that...

Ladies, sorry it took me so long to post this ... but here goes...

okay so last night we went to meet Ian .. we had an 8pm appt and he didnt come out till like 8:30 .. so right there I was like omg, he is going to be a d*ck.. well he apologized profusely about being late and was very gracious as he showed us to his office. So he was all business at first and I was making jokes and smiling at everything then I mentioned that we were crusining for our HM and he totally changed! He became the nicest guy ever!!! He took 17 cruises and is going on another one next week and he literally talked to us about cruise lines (he's been to the one we are doing) for like 30 mins! He was so sweet afterwards... and honestly did cut us some breaks on prices, but I also think thats because we booked over a year ago and they had a different menu, which they now changed so they kind of had to honor their old menu prices for us. Like originally we had two carving stations, the roasting pig and the ice sculpture for like 08 menu prices... which he quoted us way more than what our BM told us.. so he gave us the price we were quoted.

So anyway, we added the premium bar (+5pp), the bulter passed drinks during CH (daquiris and pina coladas) for $100 for the whole CH and we upgraded our cake which was an extra 150! Its white cake with canoli filling.I swear I was going to take the free ones but really they are so ugly!!! The first free one is straight out of like 1960 and the other one is really just straight up plain round tiers thats it... i was going todo that one and have my florist decorate it but FH wanted another one. So we upgraded to #10 which is beautiful... all their upgrade cakes are nice... Fh and I fell in love with #37, but it was 425 extra so I was like hellllll no. lol

So other than that, I am thinking of adding on another course (my old menu didnt come with this) its like the mozzarella and tomatoe on the plate when guests arrive followed by pasta and salad then entree... its 2pp extra... do you think its worth it?? Also, I wanted to add an extra entree option of shrimp scampp (+3pp) because we arent having the shrimp station at CH... do you think its worth it?

Honestly, Ian is really nice but we were the only ones there, so it could have been that we had all his attention ... he is really detailed and wrote EVERYTHING down for us.. and gave us all sorts of papers to fill out to bring back and the direction cards for the invites.. He is really nice.

Sorry so long.. but I wanted to be detailed. I got prices for other things too if anyone wants to know anything I may not have mentioned.

Edt to add: the VH is so much better than the original menu (and since we booked it last year.. we got upgraded to this menu and we got more stuff) .. I know Im a dork, but Im in love with the cotton candy machine! lol

That's great that he changed after the mentioning of the cruise i may have to do that also lol.You should definitely get the shrimp scampi and not do the mozzarella more people would enjoy the shrimp scampi. For the plain round tiered cake did they he say if they could add a ribbon around the bottom of each tier? I want a cake like that. Did he mention anything about those linens they put on the dais and the cake table that have like some brown flowers on them? I wonder if they could swap those for all white i can't stand those...lol. What does the VH include and how much per person? The cotton candy machine sounds really cool. thanks

Does he talk about napkins, table #'s, seating cards, etc...
