That's great that he changed after the mentioning of the cruise i may have to do that also lol.You should definitely get the shrimp scampi and not do the mozzarella more people would enjoy the shrimp scampi. For the plain round tiered cake did they he say if they could add a ribbon around the bottom of each tier? I want a cake like that. Did he mention anything about those linens they put on the dais and the cake table that have like some brown flowers on them? I wonder if they could swap those for all white i can't stand those...lol. What does the VH include and how much per person? The cotton candy machine sounds really cool. thanks
Well they are sneaky about the cake.. because the standard free one is just the plain one but then like the next three or four pages of cakes are literally the same plain cake with additions.. so its like if you want ribbons, or dots, or flowers... its another cake and you have to pay the upgrade... The did have a pic of a cake with ribbon around the botton of the tiers in blue and it also had like big blue desgins on it and honestly I just skipped over it but its probably going to be 200 more.. because it was in the middle.. the first half of the book is like 75-150 more, then the middle is like 200-300 and the whole back is like 400+ - but you never know, it could be less.
what linens did you mean? When they showed me my room (it was set up for a wedding at the time) the chair covers and bows and the table covers and napkins were that ivory brocade material that is standard.
I booked the VH like a year and half ago and it was only $5pp and this one has more stuff.. its like literally 2 pages of desert foods, cakes, cordials and some fun stuff like the cotton candy

Pixie - I already sent out my invites...
Does he talk about napkins, table #'s, seating cards, etc...
I will be having the ceremony at the RH....
I am also having the ceremony there. Do you mean the CH napkins with like your monogram on them? He did offer if we wanted those but I was broke after the additions and was like no! lol He gave me 200 seating cards and I took them but I actually wont be using them Im making my own to match the invites.... he also said that they provide the menu and they were basic.. standard, I was planning on making my own also but we will see if I have the time, if not I will just use those
he gives you like 3 papers to fill out... one is literally every step of the ceremony you are having.. like all the music, your BP, you procession... and how you want everything then the other paper is the seating chart. He goes over all the details like coming in to make 70% two months before your wedding then two days before i think another is due, then you come in to pay it, you drop all your stuff off in a labeled box and then they will give you your final balance for the day of.

Oh wow they really are so sneaky just to add a ribbon they charge..grr..
When i went to to look at the different rooms they put this linen cloth that has brown leaves on it at the cake table and the dais. I also saw it on a brides review Annoulak im going to find it and post it here.I love the brocade so that's fine its just this other cloth that just irks me. I just don't like how it looks. Omg the VH sounds amazing!! That is a great upgrade.

Hmm... I have never seen that brown one... I wonder if that is a request? I honestly didnt know there was a different one because when we first went to see it, it was the ivory one and then for the food tasting it was also the ivory one and our BM again said this is what you will have.. so I didnt think twice about it... I will have to ask him that when I call about the upgrades.

She wrote in her review that she picked a plain one and had someone decorate it for her Fall theme. At my cousin's wedding they too had that table cloth and it totally clashed with their theme.

Our cake is #37 and Ian didn't give us a price yet. He said he would call is this week. I just called him right now and they said he wasn't in today so I am going to call him again tomorrow. He told us while we were there that it would be no higher than 650 so maybe we can get him down to 400.
We didn't think Ian was bad either he worked with us on a few things and threw in some stuff for us. We were supposed to have clam sauce added to our cocktail hour and now it's standard so we have an extra meat at the carving station. We are also adding prosciutto with our tomato and mozzarella. We aren't doing the passed drinks at cocktail hour. We did upgrade to the ultra premium liquor. We were there for like 2 1/2 hours which I thought was great because we felt like we were getting the attention we needed. Ian did wind asking FH a bunch of legal questions (he's a lawyer) so that did take up some time.
Anyway I hope to have a cake answer by tomorrow and I will let you all know what it is.

It's a pretty cake with the fall theme. I just don't like that table cloth i just want everything ivory so the cake can stand out with my cake table decor. Oh did he tell you what color linens they have besides ivory?

He told us there would be an extra charge for different color linens so we didn't ask about colors.

Yeah we were there for about the same amount of time. I think he said that he was out today also.. and starting tuesday he is out on vacation for like a week.
#37 is beautiful! He said that he didnt have the price he would have to get it but he told us it would probably be around 425-450 extra... so since its not the official price since he didnt have it.. dont quote me on that
Anyway, if you happen to talk to him before me could you ask him about the brown flowers on the tableclothes? Im really worried about it now

Ivory is the only standard one.. if you want colors, thats an upgrade and since I wasnt paying (and honestly ivory and gold are my colors) I didnt ask how much it was

I know! But I think a bunch of people were asking about that one cake because he looked so frustrated that he didnt have the price and he said that he was waiting on a return call...

So I spoke to Ian today and the upgrade price on the cake is $475 so it's not as bad as we thought it would be and we are going to go with. I also asked him about the linens used on the cake table and he said it would be ivory. I asked him about that floral print and he said that they haven't used that in a very long time. So we have nothing to worry about ladies...thank god for that.

Oh that's not too bad at all about the $475 and thank goodness no ugly floral . Thanks for the info and for asking about the linens.
