I fell in love with Leonard's while FH fell in love with Westbury. Now we can't agree on a hall and we've been bickering about it all day!! I like the look of Leonard's and FH loves the look of Westbury. Please help me decide. I liked the attention we got from Westbury but at the same time I don't mind being one of many brides at Leonard's. WHat I didn't like about Westbury was the size of the room they are offering, but that's exactly what FH liked about it. We're having about 75 guests and they offered us the upstairs room ( I forgot the name) I think its too tight. I also feel like I won't be able to fit in the coctail room at Westbury with my dress without getting it dirty because the coctail room is also tight. Leonard's offered us the room on the main floor and its so spacious. I want my out of town guests to be impressed and to me Leonard's seems more impressive however Westbury's grounds are pretty impressive. Please Help me decide!!!

They are VERY different styles. Personally, I prefer Westbury, but both are beautiful places to have a wedding.

I prefer Westbury too. The good thing about Westbury is that the most they would have is two weddings going on at once. With Leonards I heard some people say that it was like an airport or some kind of Expo with all of the weddings going on at there. Talk to them and see the prices and what both have to offer, maybe one place would have a better deal then the other. Good luck

Westbury is beautiful and so is Leonards I think the decision is ultimately up to you two. I would write the positive and negative issues with both and go from there

I would go with Westbury. I've been to events at both places and Westbury was great (food atmosphere everything). I know that Leonards has a lot going on at once with multiple parties and although Westbury does multiple parties as well, it's a lot less than Leonards. JMO, but in the end you an your FI need to reach the agreement necessary!

i've been to both for a wedding, both are beautiful, with westbury though get the luscious gardens and only two wedding at a time.
see how the prices are for both and which will offer you more for your money. good luck

I had my wedding at Leonards on a Saturday afternoon and was the ONLY wedding and event there. I know alot of people post on here often that Leonards has so many events but so does Westbury Manor.
Leonards it multiple floors so it is segregated better while Westbury manor is one so you share a hallway.
Let items like food, style and the staff make your decision. Not this information because they both have the potential to have more than one wedding.

My concerns are over the staff and the food at Leonards. I've heard good things about both at Westbury but I haven't heard anything about the food and staff at Leonards.

I'm a WM bride and hands down will vote WM! I was married on a day where two other weddings were happening at the same time as mine. I never once saw the other brides. NOT ONCE. So if that's a concern...don't worry. The food at WM is untouchable if you ask my HONEST opinion. I've been to other catering halls on Long Island and the food does not come close to the quality of food that WM serves. The staff is so attentive to EVERY need. Again...like the other brides have said the styles between the two are VERY different. I cannot comment on the food or the staff of Leonards either...I can just say that WM is out of this world and if I had to do it all over again...WM would be the place.

Did you do a tasting before you booked or did you attend a wedding there before? I might do a tasting at both and decide that way.

Both are nice halls - for the look - I like Westbusty better - but thats just my personal taste - the old Victorian house ... and as for taste - i think they are both good - i personally like westbury better

They don't offer tastings at WM. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times...they have great entertainment on some of the nights too.

food was amazing at Leonard's, my guests were raving about it for weeks after the wedding!!!! our bridal attendal, maitre d', waiters and bartender were all wonderful, no complaints at all... lastly, we had a wedding on Sept. 3, Labor Day weeked and I am sure there were other events going on but I did not see any other brides if thats a concern (but I dont think I would mind seeing anyone else)

I am a bit biased b/c I am getting married at Leonards. I personally love the gardens at Westbury but I do not like the food. That is just my personal preference.
I would suggest going for a food tasting at both. I went for a food tasting at Leonards and the food was great. I have also been there before for other weddings and everything was great.
