Less than 2 weeks

Ok....We are less than 2 weeks away and I have dropped out of Wedding planning due to my mothers illness. I need to get motivated. I have to remeber that this is Matt's day as well and things should be perfect.

How do I get myself motivated again? For those of you who have fallen into the wedding planning rut HELP!!!!

Sorry to hear about your mom. Why don't you take out your list with things left to do and start planning how you will get things done. Then force yourself to start at the first place and then keep thinking how excited you are to get married to your great fh!!!!

Jen, why don't you try making a detailed list of all the things you have left to do. Try to just do a little each day. I know sometimes once you get out of the groove it's hard to get back into it. I'm sure Matt will be there to help you.

Jen, I really hope your Mom is doing better. I could totally see how you dont have much desire for planning considering.
2 weeks left, it'll come back to you, especially when you think about Matt. I'm sure everything will work out.

Thanks ladies. I always feel better after venting to you! I am making a final list tonight and Matt and I are going to split it up and get everything done. I am off next week but would like to spend that time with my mom. Even my FMIL is pitching in. She went out and got our ring bearer pillow. Which I would have forgotten.

You girls are the best and we are both looking forward to seeing you all on the 14th!!!

Goodness, I'm 10 days away and have the same problem.

For me, the best thing to do is just pick a day.. wake up extra early and just GO.. and try to get as much done in that day as possible. It works better for me that way instead of pacing myself all week.

I pretty much have it all done exept placecards which laura from la productions is going to help me with.

Actually not that nuch. Seating, places cards, confirming with vendors and my dress is not done yet.

I think that is all.

yeah we got a lot done already thank god. I just can't get my head around the fact that it is less than 2 weeks away. I need to start focusing on the Wedding and Matt. He is getting a little neglected these days. I know he understands but it is not fair to him. So I am trying to get back into for his sake.

Maybe it will help my mom a bit as well. She is feeling a little disciuraged and isn't convince she will make it. SO I need to keep her positive as well.

Sorry to be such a downer to everyone. This is supposed to be a happy time.

you know my situation. mom went to the hospital couple week before wedding- i thought that was it. the day of the wedding she was dynamic, the besst i have seen her in 2 years- as will your mom be. I know that is hard to get into planning, but try to because it helps- its good therapy.

I actually found it at estelles while I was there shopping for a party dress.
The seamtress I am using works out of her home in Great Neck.
Probably not the same person.

Jen, all I have to say is YIKES! I am freaking too, but I don't have nearly as much to worry about as you. You and your mom are in my thoughts.

I'm sorry that your mom is having a difficult time. You're so close to the big day and I know she will be there to enjoy it. You've done all the big stuff and its all about to pay off. Spend time with your mom and be happy. Your excitement will inspire her too.
