Let this be a lesson to all of you..........

So, when I was on my honeymoon I failed to use the proper amount of sunscreen. Bad bad bad idea. I got so sunburned that I ended up getting these pimply bump things all over the parts of my body that got sun. It was not only extremely itchy, but it was gross looking. People were actually avoiding being near me because they thought I had some sort of contagious skin probolem. lol Seriously though....those of you going to the caribbean, Hawaii, or any other places where youre gonna get a lot of sun, make sure you use sunscreen!!!

Heres two pictures of the grossness! As you can probably imagine, pictures dont really do it justice because they were much more visible in person.

I was on a 14 day cruise and probably had those bumps for like the last 5 or 6 days. And that s*cked cause I had to avoid being in the sun.

that *****! Fh & I both get those bumps on our arms when we are in the sun...even with sunscreen. and they ITCH like a MOFO!! But we love the sun..so we deal. Usually Aloe helps tho. Hope it didn't mess up you HM too much!!

ouch you poor thing! i hope you feel better soon! and great advice!! Im italian and i even burn in the carribean!!!!! be careful! its soo close to the equator!

Yeah, I mean, other than the bumps and itchyness I felt fine. I just felt ugly and gross looking.

Im Cuban so I dont ever really burn either. And if you look at my honeymoon pictures, I dont even look red at all. I guess instead of getting red and burnt, I get nasty bumps. So weird cause this has never happened to me before. But its not everyday that I spend 2 weeks in the sun either.

same thing! I didn't burn at all, I tanned but just had the itchiness and the bumps. Actually, tanning before I went on vacation helped a little bit. When i went on spring break, by the last day, I couldn't even go out in the sun because both my arms and legs were covered in the bumps. I think it's more an irritation of the skin from the sun then a sun burn type irritation (if that made sense)

It actually may be that you are allergic to sun. I have a friend who is allergic and she gets similar bumps. Google sun allergy for info.

OUCH that looks like it hurts. Thats what happens to me on my shoulders when I get burned, I develop a rash and its itches sooo bad. How was your HM byw??

i never got this before and I got it last year my dr said its prickly heat. I would get it from the heat not from the sun beating on it. She gave me cream called.. Atopiclair to use and it def helped
