We should share that stuff, I`d love to see everyone's dresses, bouquets, BM dresses, or even a pic of you and FH. Let`s post links to all of our stuff, I think it will be fun. We talk about everything else, why not share that stuff? Besides, I am curious to see what everyone else has picked since I 'talk' to you guys every day! What do you think?

SonicStef - re bridesmaid dress
I LOVE the dress you picked for the bridesmaids. Wondering if you would be willing to give an idea of how much it cost and where you found it...

SonicStef - re bridesmaid dress
My BM dress is a Jim Hjelm (style # 2225). I found it at Here Comes the Bridesmaid in NYC but since Jim Hjelm is a popular line, Im sure its carried all over. The dress retails for about $240 but Im going to order from netbride.com and get them for $155 including tax & shipping! Woo-hoo!

Thanks, Stef! That's awesome. I may have to look into that myself! Can anyone order from netbride.com...i.e., can each of my bridesmaids order individually? Or would I need to order the dresses for them?

Netbride.com
You should order for them. If dresses are sent to separate addresses there are additional charges. But more importantly, if they order independently, you may not get the exact same color each time.

I ordered it a week ago, and it should be delivered to my house next week! I am so excited, I can't wait!!!!!!

SonicStef - another question re bridesmaid dress
Hi- I have another netbride.com question - where did your BMs get their measurements? How do you know the sizes to order, being that bridesmaid dress companies seem to make weird sizes occasionally. Thanks in advance!

Marnles...
I ordered online too (from bestbuybridals.com and gownsonline.com). I had my girls get measured at the bridal salon where I bought my dress. Those that couldn't make it there went to another shop near them and had their measurements taken. Some of them ordered a size smaller than the measurement charts say and they fit fine (with less alternations needed).

Thanks for the info. A couple more naive questions for you... 1. How did you get the salon to measure you if you had no intentions of actually buying from them. I've been in many bridal parties, and have only gotten measured when getting ready to put the deposit down. 2. Which size charts did you use - the designers? And how did you get a look at it? Sorry, I've never done this before, and I would hate for my girls to order the dresses in the wrong sizes! thanks so much!! :)

SonicStef - another question re bridesmaid dress
My bridesmaids will measure each other. Its actually really easy to do if you know how. To choose their size, I will use the manufacterers size chart. Just go by their largest measurement (so if they have a size 10 bust but a size 14 hip - order size 14)

I used the designers size charts - they're available on the web sites I ordered from (I had Dessy and After-six dresses). All the designers have different charts so be sure to use the one for your designer. I had no problem getting the girls measured. Paradise Bridals did most of them when we were trying on dresses. I wrote down the measurements as they took them. I told them we weren't ready to order yet since we still had one more BM that needed to try on. They took the measurements of the girls that were there so they wouldn't all have to come back when we were ready to order. As a courtesy, most salons will measure you if you explain the wedding is out of state and everyone's ordering the dresses from a salon near the bride (I used that excuse when looking at dresses in CA). Alternatively, you can go to a seamstress and she'll measure everyone or you can take a tape measure and do it yourself. There's plenty of info online on exactly where and how to measure. Below is a link on measuring and size charts fr the deisgners this site carries. http://bestbuybridal.com/pages/measure.htm Feel free to ask more questions if you have them. We saved hundreds on the dresses and they all came in in about 4-6 weeks. Good luck!

Netbride.com (long)
I put in a request for a quote yesterday at netbride and they called and left the quote on my voicemail this morning. The price includes shipping if all dresses sent to one address and you dont have to pay sales tax. They are also looking for a quote on a dress I didnt have a style number on that I saw in a brides magazine. They seem very helpful. The dresses we are looking for now are for my sisters wedding in Sept. If this works I will use them for mine next March, I would love to save my girls money. I am in a wedding in May and am paying close to $400, too much for bridesmaid dress I think. Anyone with bad experience ordering thru the internet please let me know? thanksWelcome New Vendors
