Re: Lets Start a Hawaii Thread

We just finished paying for the rest of my trip.

We are actually doing a cruise for 7 days from Honolulu (1 night Oahu, 1 night in Hilo, 2 nights in Maui and 2 nights in Kauai) and then staying at the Hilton in Oahu for 3 days and the Hyatt in Maui for 4 days. We Can't Wait!!!!!!!!

We booked several tours:
Kauai: helicopter, snorkeling and waimei canyon
Maui: Halikala at sunrise
Hilo: Rainbow falls and Volcano National Park

We are planning on doing Road to Hana and a Luau in Maui and seeing Pearl Harbor in Oahu.

Re: Lets Start a Hawaii Thread

This is so much fun to read. I knew Hawaii was popular, but I had no idea this popular!

10 nights for us-
4 Maui
4 Big Island
2 Oahu

I can't wait for the bike ride either.

I used Travel Impressions in Suffolk (mt. Sinai) if anyone needs a TA out that way. She was really great.

The hotel is Gorgeous, but it's a VERY QUIET part of the island.

Do you think its worth staying there? Our TA can get us a deal it includes a car so I feel like we can just drive to Kannapali and Lahainia? Hmmm?

For people who have gone to/booked the Old Lahaina Luau, did you get traditional mat seating or conventional table seating?

Thanks!

To be honest, I did not go to that part of the island, but my dad stayed there and said it is out of the way and a bit of a drive to Lahaina. He said it is great if you want very secluded.

My dad stayed there a few times - says is beautiful - its on the rainy side of the island so it will rain for just a little while - few hours max everyday. but you can always travel to theother side for that time of day. ( also this was years ago)
Ive stayed at a ritz before and it was great

We cant decide between Hawaii - Anguilla -and italy

If we go to hawaii we'll probably use our timeshare and stay Maui for 5 nights at the westin and then Kaui at a resort- i dont know where - suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks so much for the advice on the Ritz! We decided to stay there because FH and I are explorers and are rarely at our hotel anyways! lol. As for deciding on your HM I would narrow it down. Sounds like you've been to Hawaii. So maybe Anguilla or Italy? If you have alot of time I'd go to Italy (Amalfi Coast is so romantic). Anguilla is great too but I got island fever!!! GOOD LUCK

i'm thinking about going to hawaii- it was between tahiti & hawaii- so i chose hawaii-yay!!! even though it wont be until 2008!!!! I know i definitely want to go to the following islands: Oahu,Maui, Kauai - i dont even know if i spelled the islands right- where else would u recommend to go- or is that enough? What should i do in each of these islands!!!!
