Re: Lets start a Leonards of Great Neck Thread
I made a basket for the bathrooms and when I went to drop it off a few days before my wedding they said not to worry about it, that we didn't need it. They ended up putting it in the bridal suite, which was nice. But they had everything we needed in the bathrooms with the attendant. And they did NOT charge our guests for using the items, they could leave a tip if wanted.

Re: Lets start a Leonards of Great Neck Thread
I want to chime in on the bathroom attendant/tipping thing. This ended up being the 1 thing that I called Leonard's to complain about after I got home from my honeymoon.
Throughout the planning, I was told that this person did not need to be tipped and that there would NOT be tip baskets out.
They even have a sign above the coat-check are that says 'Gratuities have been handled by your host' (or something to that effect)
Anyway, my cousin (MOH) used that bathroom because my suite was locked and we couldn't find someone to let her in.
She took a quick spritz of the hair spray and started to walk away. Well, my mom and my aunt were in there as well.
The attendant actually said 'You are supposed to tip me.'
When I learned about this, I was FURIOUS. I called to complain and I was told that this was NOT supposed to happen (there was not supposed to be any tipping of any attendants, except the valet if the guests chose to do so).
ets: the unanimous opinion from many of my guests was that it was a wedding, not a night club or restaurant and that it was completely inappropriate for those attendants to have out tip baskets (let alone ASK for a tip) and Leonard's also confirmed that this should never have happened

Re: Lets start a Leonards of Great Neck Thread
Yippie, I just booked Leonards today for 7/7/07!! I'm in the Tiffany room upstairs, and my parents absolutely love it as well. I can't wait until next year!!!!! I'm so excited since FH and I actually saw over 15 halls and we were getting so stressed out about it. It was a close call between Westbury Manor and Leonards. At the end we decided to go with Leonards is because the tiffany room is bigger than the garden room in westbury manor.I'm a little bit worried about the cake since some brides have said in the past that they charge extra?? What does a regular standard cake mean? Are pastel colors, shapes and sizes considered extra??
thanks!!
