Re: Lets start a Leonards of Great Neck Thread
I have a question about the menus. Which one did you ladies choose?I chose the basic with no add ons. I originally spoke with Ernest who said I would be able to substitue something for the vegetarian dish (eggplant parmesean) to something like pork chops. Since I will be dealing with someone else for the finalization, I am a little concerned they wont be as amenable. Did anyone here substitute anything on the entree menu?

I am not sure which package I have but I have 6 choices for entree and six courses (appetizer, salad, ipasta, intermezzo, main course, vianesse). I was wondering what additions people have on coctail hour

Re: Lets start a Leonards of Great Neck Thread
We're basic with some additions. Mostly practical ones...I think we are going to add butler cocktail hour service to reduce traffic. We also added ice cream with the cake (FI had dreamed of an ice cream cake
). And we're having wine at the tables (also to reduce traffic). We're debating cordials...yum.Also, good to know, Leonards now has 4 choices instead of 3 - one new one which is vegetarian!
almost there!

I think I want to go before we pick our menu...what kind of choices did they give you at the tasting? Cocktail hour food too? Cake? Or is that separate?

They only had coctail hour food when I went. I am unsure when you go for the menu or cake.

Re: Lets start a Leonards of Great Neck Thread
At the food tasting it is primarily the CH food not the dinner or the cake.

You girls are going to love it there! I had my reception in the Starlight Ventian room in October. I originally booked with Marcucio - who was incredible, very cool. He kept us waiting one night, because he had an entire family in his office for his earlier appt that kept asking questions. As a result he threw in some extra stuff. I met with Ian briefly, but did my final with Bobby Sousa (the owner). They were all so great. I can't tell you how wonderful everyone was and how they made sure everything was perfect. We received so many compliments on the wedding and the reception. Everyone LOVED the CH. Our matre d' and bridal attendent were the best. During dinner they brought us one of each meal, because they thought we should at least taste it! At the end of the night, they helped us gather everything, our bridal attendent had already packed everything up for us nice from the bridal suite. They loaded our limo for us and everything. Oh one nice thing they did, that my parents loved, was they brought us, my parents, and the grooms parents into the CH and reception room to do a tour to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. The reception room looked incredible - it was simply magical. As for other weddings, the only time this was an issue was when we decided to join our CH from our bridal suite. We had to walk through the main lobby where another bride was taking pictures. They made us wait a few minutes, because they are very consciences of weddings running into one another. I didn't care, but appreciated their efforts. We never heard or saw another wedding or party otherwise.
Good luck to all of you - you are going to LOVE it. Let me know if you have any questions!
THAT IS GOOD TO KNOW

I met with Ian yesterday and made some final decisions. Our cake is a 4 tiered layered, fondant, with chocalate devils food and raspberry filling. We might add a scoop of Hagaan-Daz to the plate. The cake was extra b/c it wasn't one of the offered ones. And we paid extra for the candles at the CH hour.Overall it went well Ian was nice and very informative.

Do you mind telling me how much extra the cake was? I'm sure it depends on what you get, but will they will do whatever you want?
