Let's Talk $$ (For Married Ladies) = Wedding Budget vs. Actual Costs
Ok, so how many of you 2009 brides who just tied the knot - ended up going OVER your budget? If so, by how much?

I didn't vote because we didn't have a budget to go over. I felt that I knew what was a fair price to pay and I made decisions accordingly.

We didnt have a budget. We knew we had to invite XXX people and have two wedding events at two different reception halls. We spent alot but realistically it is what we had to spend because of our situation.

Take my original budget.... double it.. then add a little more on... and there's my wedding cost!!
I voted for 16+ over budget!!! DEF went wayyyyyyyy over what I originally thought the wedding would cost!!!

I never made a budget... I had a certain idea of how much we would probably spend and we went WAY over. I got carried away but it was all worth it. I voted for 16+ over..

Not sure? We didn't really have a budget. My parents paid for most of the things for the wedding. DH's parents paid for some too. We kinda just went with vendors who we felt were reasonable.

We didn't really have a budget. We assumed we would spend 'X' amount and we spent pretty much what we thought.

We never had a budget. But if we did have a budget, I'd say we went WAAAAAAY over it. My mom went above and beyond to get me whatever I wanted. (that sounded really obnxious, didn't it )

Same here but I will say I wound up spending a lot less than I thought I would! I had a 275 person guest list and only 140something showed up so that cut my cost significantly.

I didnt vote because we really never had a budget or a certain amount in mind. I just went with what we wanted. We were very very happy with everything & wouldnt change a thing about our day.
BTW DH & I paid for our wedding we figured we were both set in careers own our own homes & couldnt possibly ask anyone to pay. Our parents gave us very generous gifts at our wedding.
