Let's try this again...DOJ opinions needed

Well, it's a day ending in y, so I'm going to change my DOJ look again, I *think*.

This is what my current DOJ and plan is....earrings, necklace, tiara comb, and pearl bracelet (not pictured).







My concern was that the necklace looks like it has a cheap chain, and that it didn't really show up against my skin too well:



So I found this necklace, after much searching for it, and I really like it, but now it's a completely different look! Can also be my something blue since I won't be able to wear my garter the whole day.



Now, if I DID wear this necklace, I would wear either sapphire or cz studs. But then I wouldn't be able to borrow my mother's pearl bracelet, AND would it look funny with my tiara being that it's gold and pearl? Ugh, why do I continue to do this to myself???

Any opinions would be appreciated, I'm driving myself nuts!

I love the blue necklace. but you're right it doesn't go with any gold jewelry or headpiece with gold. Maybe you can find a different headpiece with silver?
Did you already purchase these items?

I like the subtlety of the chain. I very rarely like the look where you have earrings, necklace, AND bracelet. I always go by the rule of it should always be just two or it looks like too much. Throw a tiara in the mix and then your just a walking xmas tree lol j/k (Note: not to offend anyone, I am just saying this for me, and a lot of the time it can be pulled off beautifully!!! just saying I am not always a fan) BUTTT I think the combination of everything in the original look that you have looks stunning!! JMO

I like all the pieces that go together and think they look beautiful with your dress, especially for a December wedding. There is something almost snow queen like about them.

Well, that's certainly fitting for an ice princess lol.

I don't know, I guess I'll probably keep what I have, since I already have everything. Unfortunately, I can't change the chain on the necklace, since the pearls and crystals are wired directly to the chain. I might just get the sapphire necklace to have anyways, why not, 20 bucks at Avon. I guess it won't be too bad since the comb is going to be set way further back than in this picture, behind my hair poof, so that will alleviate any 'christmas tree' effect hehe.

I'm so irritated that my sapphire and diamond ring only fits my left ring finger, and my ering doesn't fit my right finger....since our wedding bands will be placed on the right hand, I don't want to have anything interfering with that. Will it look stupid to have two stone rings stacked on my left hand? Back to the epic search for something blue then...thanks for your input!

I agree that necklace you have already doesn't look that prominant on your neck. You almost can barely tell it's there.

You mentioned the headpiece comb is gold... is it yellow gold? Because the current DOJ isn't yellow gold either. So if the yellow gold doesn't match the new jewelry selection then it didn't match the old DOJ either.

Personally I like the blue necklace better. I think you should go with that one. Why can't you borrow your mothers peal bracelet? I think that would be find with the blue necklace and studded earrings. It will also tie into the tiara comb. It's all silver or white gold right? As long as that part is the same you should be fine.

If you still feel uncomfortable you should try to find a blue necklace that has some pearls in it and that will tie it all together a little better.

Whatever you do... it will look great!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahh.. if you want to change the chain you totally can... just take it to a jeweler that makes jewelry.. they will have the materials and knowledge on how to do it.

Also you can get that ring that only fits your left hand resized to fit your right hand. It's an investment well worth it sine your left hand ring finger will be out of commission for all rings other than the wedding ones. I've been slowly doing that to my rings since we got engaged. I love wearing them and I don't want to stop so I'm resizing them.

The headpiece is yellow gold, the necklace and earrings are white gold with ivory (more yellowish) pearls, and my mom's bracelet has yellow gold in the findings and around the large pearl on the clasp...I'm a mess lol.

Oh boy Ali! Ha ha ha! to be honsest in pics it's hard to tell that the headpiece is yellow gold. That's going to be what's the hardet to tie together. You will need to find something that has both. At this point you might as well stick to your original jewelry idea! It's going to be very very hard to tie all that yellow and white gold together.
