There is so much going on here lately with 'inappropriate posting' that it is creating so much DRAMA. Adding to this DRAMA is the fact that posts are being deleted without any given reason. I feel that if all people involved on this website had a more clear cut idea of what is allowed and not allowed to be said here that there would be less hard feelings and DRAMA and maybe we can get back to what this board is really about: PLANNING WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DAYS OF OUR LIVES and SUPPORTING ONE ANOTHER IN THE PROCESS.

So for all of us brides that frequent this website and have for so long, could you please think about coming up with clearer guidelines for posting for ALL BOARD PARTICIPANTS?

I agree... I've been reading a lot of these posts and I thought we were supposed to be here for advice and comments....

agree!!!!!!!! I was thinking about not coming back to this site because I
don't really like the way these posts have been going. I mean, we don't
even know what most of us look like and we are here saying mean and
acting nasty I joined this site because the first time I checked it
out, I found everyone so supporting and helpful, and because of all you
nice, helpful, and caring people, I have decided to stay. (and because I
want to know how everyone's wedding turns out!!!!!!!!)

I hope no one takes any offense to this, b/c it's definitely not directed at anyone specifically. A lot of us dislike the drama that goes on here. Honestly, when have you ever dealt with a bunch of girls and not seen drama? As in the real world, when dealing with online drama, the best thing to do if you dont' want to get involved is ignore it or stay out of it. No matter what rules and regulations LIW posts, there will be some drama. There's no one forcing you to read the drama on here. Just go about your business and read the posts that are important, informative and interesting, which is honestly the majority of them. JMO

My Opinion:

All the info about abusing, viruses, and respecting others is pretty much common sense .


This part however makes me think. From a legal stand point they are covering the behind. I think though from a respect for those using the website, be they vendor, bride, groom, etc. there should be some sort of monitoring system. I understand that posts have been taken off when it was blatant that the poster' intent was not one of good nature. For those who have had their's taken away and wonder why I feel that is unjustified if no reason is given. I just joined here a few months ago and am sure this has certainly come up before. I hope people don't forget that there will always be people out to ruin others days. It's what you do in response is what makes you the person you are. Remember what you love about the person you are marrying and what they love about you. That should be the most important thing that brings us together here. The fact that all of us want to see each other have what should be ' the most memorable time of our lives '

For some of us Grooms it's just as important to us that our special day goes the way we imagined it. Even if it is ' really her day '

Thomas (by the way, you share a name with my FH so you're automatically a good person) - don't you let anyone tell you it's 'her' day - it's a day for both of you and you have every right to be involved in it!

I really do think we should have a statement about these rules so we do not interpret them incorrectly. Perhaps we really should be discussing vendors at all.

I also would like to know what the vendor rights and responsibilities are. If they are protected against ANY negative comments then shouldn't they also be told not to harrass brides. Fair is fair!

From what I understand one vendor I went to works with LIW to have negative post taken out. And monitor very closely.

This is why I am finding it hard to believe things here now. I initially was thrilled to find this site - all of this info with real life opinions! But now I see that posts that detail problems with a vendor get removed, while the good stuff stays, making it look like a vendor that may have problems is perfect in everybody's eyes.

I don't know what I can believe anymore now. I guess I'm glad I figured this out early in my planning rather than later.
