I'll have to look up the name. The hotel was just across from the lake. 5 star and THEEEE place to stay. There is a sidewalk cafe right next to the hotel. Eat there. Also, take the paddle boats on the lake at night when everything is lite up. Bring a camera and lip balm (for all the kissing) LOL.

Honestly I really don't recall the name. It's not something I committed to memory. :-) I'll have to find the receipts. Look for a 5 star hotel on the water (actually across the street) That's it! It's the only 5 star hotel in Lugano. It's old world European (no shower curtains ).

BTW - did I tell you that Lugano is the best place in the entire world? You will not want to come home. No this is not a commercial and I'm not receiving royalties. But, Lugano is the greatest. I dare you to find one piece of paper on the ground. I dare you to find someone crossing when the light is red. I dare you to find one negative or rude person in the entire city. You won't!!!

I can't wait.....I am SO excited that I can barely stand it anymore....(the excitement from my wedding in Tuscany could be adding to it too though )

I have heard nothing but fabulous things about Lugano, and I can not wait....I have been once before, but only in passing and didn't stay long and it was a WHILE AGO....

We are staying in Lake Como for most of the honeymoon though....and the Villa D'est and in Tremezzo and the Tremezzo Grand Resort....

I already know that I don't want to come home....lol!!!

We stayed in a nice hotel in Lugano as well...but it was on the italian side of the lake (Raveno??) and we drove into switzerland for the day. Cant remember the name but it was really huge and beautiful.
