lied about wedding date to...

lied about wedding date to...

the shop where i bought my dress. i told them it was 3 weeks earlier to make sure i would get my dress in time. i'm sure i'm not the only bride that did this... so how do i handle this?? i want my final fitting to be about 2 weeks before the wedding because i know i will drop weight due to nerves. want them to hold there as long as possible.

do i just tell them the truth or tell them i changed the date????

I lied about the date also, just to be extra careful! i told them 2 weeks before it really is

I didnt lie, but if I did I would lie earlier as well. just so I had it ready in time!

my FMIL told them it was JUNE 28TH!!! LOL but I did change that because they assured me that was ridiculous. they were like 'listen we understand why brides lie about their date...but just so you know...we also lie to vendors about the date so WE get it on time...so if ur lying and we're lying...it's gonna be here way early and it has to be out of the store on by the date you gave...and with such an early date ur gonna have to pay to have it re-pressed and u also risk damaging it by not storing it properly.'

i was really stressing until the dress came in. they almost ordered the wrong dress

thank God i caught it or i would be very unhappy right now !

i hate lying cos i always get caught.... hmmm... decisions !

I did too but now I dont know what my MOH is going to do cause shes preggers and shes gotta wait as long as she can before she gets her final fitting. I think I am going to fess up. They must be used to it. My friends had me all freaking out thats my excuse

yeah my place told me to lie and I would just tell them. Can't do anythiogn about now, its ordered.

I lied about my date to RK for my bm dresses just because i'm paranoid that I waited so long to order but I told them the truth for my wedding dress and that came 2 mos early anyway.

Is it possible to tell your dress shop that yes you changed the date a few months before when it is too late for them to do anything about it so you don't have alterations too soon?

Hey in my mind I would rather have it a bit early than a bit late. I dont want that aggravation. So if they have to hold off on the alterations for 2 weeks its not a big deal.

Hey in my mind I would rather have it a bit early than a bit late. I dont want that aggravation. So if they have to hold off on the alterations for 2 weeks its not a big deal.

i tried on another dress by the same designer for sizing purposes. well, the girl wrote down that style number instead!! honestly i hated that dress. i was looking at pics that i snuck in the dressing room & then i compared the style number to the one on the receipt. they didn't match ! sure enough they wrote down the wrong style number !

well if anything if they give me a hard time about it they can deal with my FMIL... you don't mess with her !

did it save you shipping or something? As soon as the dress comes in I would make it seemlike a misunderstanding. My g/f did that at macys and she had to pay extra for last minute alterations because they had to bring someone in to do them

OMG that is horrible. Imagine if you didnt check.... Well I would say they owe you
