Lighthouse Photography

Hi Ladies,

Has anyone booked with Lighthouse and is having Luis as their photographer? We met with Florio and spent 2 hours with him & were so impressed!! He made us feel so comfortable. I would've booked with him on the spot but he isn't available for our day so I'm hesitant to book with them because I've only read reviews about Florio and can't find anything about anyone else from there. Anyone??

We booked with Lighthouse Photography as well. Originally we had Joe as our photographer. We had to reschedule our wedding and now we are booked with Florio. You can check out my album of some engagement pics I posted and truthfully you can't go wrong with anyone of them. They were taken by Joe and he was great and went above and beyond. I would not steer you wrong but why don't you make an appointment to meet with Luis and look at some of his albums and pictures he has taken. Maybe that can help ease your mind in regards of deciding to book with them.

All of my pictures were taken by Joe. We were upset we couldn't book Florio either, but all of their photographers are top notch and have a similar vision. I have nothing but amazing things to say about them all!!

I definitely understand why you're struggling with this decision! We had the same concerns when we met with Lighthouse. We're booked with Lighthouse and got Michele - Florio was already booked for our date. We were pretty nervous about this; we did look through some of Michele's sample albums, but the 'money shots' that we really loved were all Florio's. Lighthouse is REALLY protective of their photographers and wouldn't even let us speak directly to Michele to get a sense of what she was like- we couldn't have her phone number, email address, and they wouldn't set up a call with her. The only way for us to meet her before our wedding was to book her for an engagement shoot (for an additional cost), so we did that. It went well and we're happy with her work, but we were really nervous about signing the contract before the shoot. All of the advice says to meet your photographer before you book with them, and we were really worried that we wouldn't click with Michele or be that impressed with her work.

I'd say go with your gut- if the uncertainty of not knowing your photographer will bother you, then maybe go with another photo group where you can get to know your actual day-of photographer a bit better.

We are booked with Luis! He did our engagement pictures and we loved him. We love the way the pictures came out and he was so fun and awesome to work with. He was very creative and we felt 'got' us. FM if you want to see our epics!

Thank you everyone for your responses! We shopped around and kept going back to Lighthouse b/c we just love their work, so we got to meet Luis and booked with them yesterday! Although I still want Florio, I'll just have to get over it... lol!! Everyone seems to love him.. it's hard not to - he's just so charming!
