I was wondering if anyone has used or is using centerpieces with limes. I love the look of them, but I am wondering how it works. Do I make them myself or does the florist? Also, how do you keep them from looking like a mess. It seems like the juice would be messy and make the vases look wet. I have posted some pics of what I am talking about. Thanks!
I AM NOT A HUNDRED PERCENT SURE BUT IT SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT THE FLORIST TAKES CARE OF.

I love the look of them also. I was going to do a test run at home and see how long and how nice they maintain their look while submersed in the water. I wonder if they add anything to the water to help preserve them?? I will look around online and see what I can find!!

There's a clear liquid, that gels, for floral arranging; Looks like water. Can be purchased at AC Moore. Would this work for your limes? I like the limes!!! Very pretty!! Mary MOB

Re: Lime Centerpieces
you could probably order the flowers in bunches from a florist and buy the vases and make them yourself. Or you could prolly get everything from the florist and have them do it. It will just be a price difference and its up to you and the price they give you if its worth it.
BTW- I think those centerpieces are awesome and so unique!!!!

I love this idea! I saw this at a sweet 16 and it looked great...not messy at all.

Most likely your florist can do this. I know mine had it as an option!

Re: Lime Centerpieces
I'm doing it but I think we might keep the limes whole and do key limes and other fruits....I'm pretty sure your florist will know what to do...
