Re: LImom.....
Dear Mary, How sweet of you to say Hi. I stopped in to see you recently and you weren't there. I'll have to come in again soon. Everything is fine, thanks. I hope your plans are coming along as you wish. I read the post about your veil and I wanted to answer it. I personally think a cathedral length would look stunning with your gown. Tulle is a very sheer fabric and if it's single layer it won't hide the back of your gown. My daughter originally wanted cathedral also but her gown had too much going on in the back and she decided against it. Be sure to try different lengths on when you go for your fitting. Even if you don't want to buy it where you got your gown, there is no reason why you can get some input from the seamstress and salesgirl. I made my daughter's but I had the saleswoman help me decide how many inches long to make it. Take care.
Oh yes, Mary, I have a son getting married this coming Nov. and another son who still doesn't know when but I keep hearing there won't be a long engagement for them. That wedding just may be before the end of the year also.

Re: LImom.....
Neesiepie, thank you so much for the compliment. It's a Jovani and many of the shops carry that line. I had a hard time finding something with a jacket that didn't have the straight skirt. So in the end I picked a salon with a seamstress who would make the jacket for me from the shawl. I got it at Elegant Bride in Albertson on Willis Ave. If I end up with a similar situation for my sons' weddings, though, I will seriously consider going to a dressmaker instead and having a real bolero style jacket made. Mine wasn't fitted and I didn't really love it. Also, in case your mom decides to do something similar, be sure they don't made a seam down the back. They wanted to cut the shawl and make a seam so the beadwork would be on the two sleeves. Thank God I questioned it and then I insisted I wanted no seam, and they sewed the beads on by hand after the shrug was made. There is always a lesson to be learned.

Re: LImom.....
Mary,
You are so wonderful! Thank you for always helping me out! I am on vacation this week...yea! I plan to take care of a lot of things (limos, invites, honeymoon, make-up..... The list goes on!) We also recently bought a co-op, which Michael has been living in by himself. I expect to spend a few days there straightening up his mess!
How exciting that your son is getting married in November! I'm sure it's very different being the mother of the groom! Where is the reception? And possibly another wedding before the year is through? I think you need a vacation!
Stop in to see me soon!

Re: LImom.....
Mary, congratulations on getting a co-op. That's wonderful. And how exciting to be fixing it up and helping your fiance settle in. I hope your week is very productive and all goes smoothly. As for limos, many brides I know have problems with the drivers because they don't have good directions to the church, then to the photo site and then to the reception. They get to bride's house okay, but after that there is usually one problem or other. I highly recommend that you outline exactly as you want them to travel now while you have the time. If you let it get too near to the wedding there will be other things more important and you may not get to it. Good luck and enjoy your week. Mary
