Theres alot of talk about limos right now so I thought I'd share an Idea I had..
My church is 2 blocks from my house. Would it be cheesy if we WALKED to the church from my house? I went to a wedding in Italy and they walk from home to the church and the entire town stands outside their homes and throws rice and almonds at you, it was the prettiest thing EVER! Obviously that wouldnt happen here in NY LOL but do u guys think it would be cheesy to walk there? And would it even save any $? We'll still have the limo at FH's home to drive them to church...

ETA: my other concern was the rain.. I am NOT walking in the rain! Do you think I could get a backup limo when I book incase it rains?

i would def. walk it! The photog. could grab amazing shots of you and the bridesmaids walking in the street to the church!

I don't think it's cheesy at ALL!!!!! It's actually veryu cute! A bride parade to the church! The only issue is the rain as you said, but maybe your dad can drive you if it rains! I would totally save the $$$ You can use it for something else!!! XOXOXO Kitty

I LOVE that idea. When my friend got married last year her husbands place was around the corner so all the men walked and they got the coolest pictures. I say put your walking shoes on!!!!

Not cheesy at all. It would be great - it would be symbolic - leaving from your home to enter your new life in the sacred ceremony of marriage - I think it would be absolutely adorable and memorable.

I love the idea, any little bit helps to save money and I think this would be perfect for pictures
If you walk from your house to the church I will drive to the block you live on and throw rice at you! FOR REAL!!

I am walking to the church, which, coincidently, is two blocks away from me. I made that decision right away and I think there will be a lot of really cute pics of all of us (me & BMs) walking. Very excited!!
