Definitely a yay....age has nothing to do with it and she will probably love it. Also if this is a 2nd marriage then she will want all new lingerie.

I thought the same thing but you should see some of the stuff my fmil gave me . I turned quite a few shades of red. As did my fg who was helping me open gifts

I got one outfit and a pair of panites for my shower and it was fun, I made a big joke and people were laughing, I dont think most of the gifts should be lingerie, but some are nice.

it is tradition in my family for the MOB to get the bride her wedding night lingerie - i am really looking forward to this. of course it will be really elegant and probably cover up more than a winter coat

as long as it is classy - i say go for it

no whips,chains or leather though!

me too. I'd find it embarrassing to hold it up and show everyone, but that's just me.

YES!!

I didn't get any for my bridal shower and I was VERY disappointed. My mom claimed she knew me too well to think that I didn't want to be embarrassed. My bridesmaid whom I lived with in college was like, 'are we talking about the same Janine?'

I didn't get anything.
