LIRR Delays and Cancellations
I just received this from the LIRR. Thought this might help those of you taking these trains.
The LIRR is operating on a weekday schedule today.
Customers should anticipate some delays for the evening rush. Some trains during the evening rush will be canceled or combined. Some trains will have less than their usual number of cars.
The canceled/combined trains are:
Babylon Branch:
The 4:13 PM train from Penn Station to Massapequa Park is canceled. Customers can take the 4:21 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making added stops at Merrick, Bellmore, Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa and Massapequa Park.
The 4:34 PM from Penn Station to Babylon is canceled. Customers can take the 4:37 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh making added stops from Seaford to Babylon.
The 4:57 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh is canceled. Customers can take the 5:01 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making added stops at Merrick, Bellmore and Wantagh.
The 6:05 PM from Penn Station to Wantagh is canceled. Customers can take the 6:16 PM from Penn Station to Freeport making added stops at Merrick, Bellmore and Wantagh.
Port Washington Branch:
The 4:22 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington is canceled. Customers can take the 4:25 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making added stops at Manhasset, Plandome and Port Washington.
The 5:11 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington is canceled. Customers can take the 5:14 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making added stops at Manhasset, Plandome and Port Washington.
The 5:50 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck is combined with the 5:56 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck and will operate on the second train’s time.
The 6:11 PM from Penn Station to Port Washington is canceled. Customers can take the 6:14 PM from Penn Station to Great Neck making added stops at Manhasset, Plandome and Port Washington.
