Hi ladies...are any of you listing like a time 15 minutes before the actual ceremony starts so that guests arent late?

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
I am! I'm putting 3:30pm on the invitations, but the ceremony won't start until 4pm. I'll serve some basic refreshments and cheeses beforehand. Like a hospitality station.

I am so doing that, or else everyone I know will be flying in as the bridal party walks down the aisle.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
I was thinking about it but decided against it. I show up to weddings on time so i hope my guests extend the same courtesy. those that are late, oh well. I am not going to make my guests that do show up on time sit around for an hour.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
we put thirty minutes before the actual ceremony and it worked out really well, especially since it rained all day, so people were running late due to that as well.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
We're getting married at the RH and they suggest putting 30 min earlier on the invitation. Those who arrive early will be greeted with a special cocktail and be able to mingle while those who are on time or late won't miss out. If you're getting married in a church, I would maybe put 15 min. earlier.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
I'm debating on this. My ceremony is at noon and i love how that sounds---I always make sure i am at least 15 minutes early to a wedding---so if people are late--they are late.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
I would have the invitations call about 30 minutes before the actual wedding.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
I think I'm putting half an hour earlier. We're pressed for time as it is and I dont need anyone late.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
I put the ceremony start time on the invite. I am painstakingly punctual and people know this...if they are late TOO bad.

Re: Listing earlier ceremony time on invites?
I will definitely be doing this, I don't want anyone walking in while I'm supposed to be walking down the aisle. And with my family and FH's family, no one is ever on time.

See my RH said I shouldn't do this. Because they will still be putting the finishing touches on things and that the guests might see it. There isn't really a lobby or anywhere for them to hang out so I am just going to put the time it starts...
