Living together?.....

How many of you girls live with your FI? I currently live with a couple of my girl friends, while he lives alone. He keeps asking me to move in, or even better for us to find a new home to start ourselves, but I am torn on what to do. I don't wanna leave my friends, that makes this engagement so real and scary! I am actually growing up!!

is your lease up soon? I would stay at least until then...or give your roommates enough notice...and don't leave until they find someone else...

FH and I moved in together exactly one year prior to our wedding date. I'm glad we did, it's been really great!

I have lived with my for while..we lived together before we got engaged...me personally, couldnt marry with a man without living with him..but thats me..I respect the ones who wait to live togteher until they are married..I think its great..its just my personal preference to live with him first..but I am the girl who all of my old boyfriends said I had a fear of commitment..marriage scares me..so living with my fiance has helped me see what it will be like and gave us a chance to argue over the fact that he is a slob and there is no changin it..it has just helped me. But each relationship is diferent..you will miss living with yoru friends if you choose to move out..but your friends arent going anywhere..theyll still come over and hang out with you..it could be a good thing! But like I said, everyone is different..some people prefer to wait..and thats fine too!!! Do whats best for yOU!!!!

we don't have a lease, we live month to month, and there are plenty of people who would take my spot, that isn't even an issue.

I know I want to live with him before we get married, it is just scary ya know? We have spent weeks together, but it is a matter of his place or mine ya know? Like I can't imagine coming home from work everyday and him living there too..lol I am being silly, it is just going to be a change, but a HAPPY one at that!

I would have never married Ronnie if we didnt' life together and I would never move in with someone to their apt.
I would want our own.
We live together for 3 yrs.

I am living with him, I lived with friends in college and ten I moved back home, noone was ready to move out when I was so we moved in together. I am so glad we did, we got so much closer, and i was scared that I couldn't live with him, but it worked out great.

I totally agree with you! I am all for living together before we are married so we know eachothers quirks on a daily basis. The fact that he changes and leaves his clothes on the floor, well I will just have to get used to that..lol

we live together and I love it. He's my best friend.

When we need space I go out or he goes out. I love seeing him everyday. Now if i could just master not hogging all the blankets he would be a lot happier

How long have you guys been together? I only ask because I have been with my FH for seven years. This surprised me but I really didn't learn anything new about him when we moved in together.

We live together and I recommend it (sorry! I was raised Catholic but for me it was the right thing to do! Hold the tomatoes LOL)

It just made me see what it is like. Hard to adjust to in the beginning but worth it.

Totally agree Theresa, I want to get our own place, only reason we wouldn't right away is because he lives in a gorgeous apartment/condo in Long Beach facing the ocean, and for the price there is no chance we will find anything better. But we are going to look. Maybe next door is available

it will be 4 years 9/21, but we have been friends for about 8. I don't think I will learn anything new from living with him either, but ya never know! Plus we will save money if we are living together, no need in paying rent for 2 seperate apartments.

I too couldn't marry someone I didn't live with beforehand. I lived with someone for a year and a half...and (thankfully!) we saw that things were never going to go anywhere.

FH & I have been living together for almost 4 years. We moved into a new apartment together...and then we moved into our current one almost 3 years ago. I love it - I would never have wanted him to move into the apartment I had on my own...you want something that is 'ours' not 'mine' or 'his'...JMO.

It's the greatest.
