I totally want to post pics of my makeup trials but really don't know how many people lurk on these boards but never post.

It is a wondeful wedding planning community - however - I think I read that some people have stalkers now after posting on these boards?
Is that true for anyone here?

I know some users never post pics of themselves and like it that way.

What's the general consensus??

I don't post pics of myself, you never know who is looking at these boards.

I am with you on this. I will not post pics of myself until and unless I feel 100% safe doing so. If you feel safe then by all means post your pics. If you don't feel safe then don't. We all divulge what we want to divulge and that is the beauty of it all. There are some very sick individuals out there and one has to be careful.

I am a teacher for children with special needs. We never give them any personal information about ourselves. We do not have a staff list with addresses and phone numbers and MOST of us are unlisted in the white pages. This is done to insure our safety. All it takes is one person with a loose screw to do minimal investigation and find out who you are and where you live.

Paranoid? Nah. I've been stalked before by internet people. Many years ago, I told a person online that I was going to the gym and he asked me where I worked out so I told him. Well guess who showed up at the gym? I knew it was him because the gym was all females. Not only was he a stalker, but married as well. I was younger and not that bright but learned my lesson.
