In defense to vendor questions being posted AFTER girls already booked, some of the girls here only found LIW AFTER they booked a specific vendor. I think if we still have a chance of backing out, we would rather lose a deposit than ruin their photos, videos or whatever else for their wedding day.

laurie - i didn't mean any offense, it just bothers me when they ask for an opinion and then get ultra-defensive when people tell them things.

No Karen!!!! I understand, I just feel bad for some girls that get stressed out when they find out they booked a vendor from h*ll...I have seen it happen so many times, including to myself. I had all my vendors booked by the time I finally discovered this site. (I was trying to justify why, but yes, it does become annoying... )

Karen, thats true. I posted about my opinion on a reception hall once, and my opinion was honest (yet not what the bride wanted to hear ) and she got a bit defensive. So I never responded negatively again on a hall that was booked by a bride. I did post a candid review of Spin Around Sound, and how I think they are :any old DJ' and SO NOT WORTH what they ask, and SO OVER-RATED

But I know what you mean about that...

Imagine all the girls who booked the video guy before discovering his history? I think some people just need the reassurance that they have booked a good vendor. (If they can't take the criticism, they shouldn't have asked for the opinions in the first place!)

Aliaspook- I agree. I think I would have done alot of things different if I had found this board sooner. Now. I print out the bad stuff to show to my vendors and see what they have to say about it.

I just remember what it was like not to long ago when (sniff, sniff) I had no one to talk wedding to. Now I use you girls as the manual to getting married.
