location, Location, LOCATION!?!?!?!?!

Re: location, Location, LOCATION!?!?!?!?!

I usually get off at 40th Street/Lowery on the 7 train. Try Queens Blvd and 40th Street. It is a few stops before the Woodside station. Lots of shops in the area - but you can get to Grand Central or Time Square pretty quickly.

I'm not sure if this posting a website is allowed - but I'll give it a try.

Re: location, Location, LOCATION!?!?!?!?!

FH would NEVER move to Queens or the city. I knew that off the bat. He's more of a suburb type, which I don't mind. So we always knew it would be LI, and it had to be Nassau, because that's where all of our family is. And we wanted something that was close enough to our jobs (unfortunately he switched jobs after we moved and now works in the city, defeating the purpose). Oh, and FH LOVES Massapequa, so once we found a house we could afford, that fit our needs, he was sold.

we lived in Baldwin with FH's parents and moved into our own apartment in Bethpage 9 months ago... we choose it because FH was taking classes at Old Westbury

Thank goodness this was an easy one for us...there was no way I was moving to Ohio so FH came here...and we decided to stick by my parents for child care reasons.

So Glen Cove it was.

our parents offered to rent us a house they own (no mortgage) for like half the cost of what it would be to rent an actual house. And its in westhampton we love the area...

FH lives in CT and I was going to move there but I can not leave LI even when my parents finally move to FL we are going to stay here. I think I want to live where I am now Lindenhurst or maybe in Nassau. I do not want to live out East too far from work.

We both want to move near where we live right now, we want to be close to our families and friends and we are comfortable in this area. Also, we are not very far from the city which helps FH a lot.

We're both from out East (well, I'm originally from Amityvilel) so we know we we're staying out East. My fam is in Mt. Sinai and his is Sound Beach, we live in Middle Island we are 10 mins. from all.

Crashing ... FH and I live in Kew Gardens, right near the E/F train on Metropolitan Ave. We live on the quietest stretch of road ever in a GORGEOUS complex called Hampton Court ... there are a couple of apts to rent but it's mostly to buy. We are a 10 min walk to the E/F Union Tpke stop but there's also a bus that goes right there too. We LOVE it! FH is from BK and I'm from Nassau County, so we compromised and settled in Kew Gardens, and I couldn't be happier!
