long but worth the read-student loans

I must recommend this site because it really works. Although I graduated college in 99 i still have loans to pay. i came across upromise.com and thought it was a gimic but after using it for almost a year now...I MUST pass the info along. I have my loans through Sallie Mae. Heres the deal... I went to upromise.com and signed up. I do a LOT of online shopping..especially now with all this wedding stuff. What you do is register all your credit cards and bank cards...anything you use to make purchase with. Then you link those cards to you current loan account...(sallie mae for me). Whenever I shop I go through the upromise link and type in...for instance 'macys'...then..for everything i buy at macys..i get 3% back. Now everystore has a different % back from 1-25! quarterly these % add up and get deducted from my loan! I SWEAR ITS REAL!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING. this past year...no joke.. Just from shopping alone..my student loan has dropped almost $500 just from money back shopping through upromise! another plus is that friends and family with out loans can also register their cards under your account and pay off your loans too! Its an awesome deal!
Also..if you dont have loans..you can still do this account and just keep the savings banked to put towards your future childres college education!

fm me for more info or go to upromise.com.

You can also save up for college for your children or nieces and nephews.

BUT one drawback is that it depends on your lender. My loans are through AES, Direct (Federal), and FH is HSBC, none of which are participating lenders so this doesn't work for us. So check the lenders before you sign up.
