long island waterfront weddings
I went to Lands End and fell in love however they do not have any of my dates open for summer 2009. Are there any other venues with a similar feel and on the water that you could recommend I go look at?

Thatched Cottage is also on the water. Giorgio's isnt on the water...but the beach is right on the other side of the property and they drive you down there for pics. Atlantica is also on the water

Re: long island waterfront weddings
Hello Again,We also went to Old Field Club and loved it but their max number is 170 and we have about 195 on the list right now. We really liked the ambiance of both Lands End and Old Field Club. We would love to find a place on the water but if you know of any other places that have the same feel we are willing to look at it.

If you want the ambience of Lands End but your willing to not be on the water I am told Flowerfield, also owned by Lovin Oven has that same feel.

Re: long island waterfront weddings
I'm getting married at Lombardi's on the Sound in Port Jefferson. It's very secluded, in a residential neighborhood way off the streets of Port Jeff. It holds up to 240 people I believe so it's not as big as Land's End (I love that place too but too expensive for me!) and it has an incredible waterfront view of Long Island Sound and food to die for!

I booked lands end but was torn between them and Chateau la Mer. I loved them both. I also checked out Crescent beach club.. liked the place, not the people but worth the look!i also looked at venetian yach club, danfords (too small), atlantica. all on the water.
