We agreed to have an engagement announcement made using pics. Instead of having them designed (and printing them on our own) like I planned, we ended up making it ourselves today.
The plan is to have them printed on either glossy photo paper or 110 lb card stock.

I always loved the idea of using our photos on the announcement and I had already contacted SonicStef about designing them for us.
Today FI decided we could do it on our own. Since my photographer friend had to cancel our pic appointment today, we took out the tripod and did them on our own. We added those to one we already had (including engagement night pic - one with me in the orange top).
It was pretty easy. I have Print Shop 12. We just played with it until we got something we both liked.

I had no problem printing the white on black. I have an HP 5500 and the sample I printed came out fine.
I do plan to have them printed at Staples or maybe Alphagraphics of Minuteman Press though.

is the black going to cause you to run through many a cartridge or have you figured out another way to print white on black? i was never able to figure this one out
how much would staples charge for a job like that?
