I had no problem printing the white on black. I have an HP 5500 and the sample I printed came out fine.

I do plan to have them printed at Staples or maybe Alphagraphics of Minuteman Press though.

is the black going to cause you to run through many a cartridge or have you figured out another way to print white on black? i was never able to figure this one out

how much would staples charge for a job like that?

I'm not printing them on my printer. I do think I'd go through my cartridge pretty quickly.

I went by Staples and was told that they would print two one-sided color 5 x 7 cards (2 per page) for 96 cents each.

Alphagraphics told me about $150 for 200 5 x 7 cards but I can't recall if I told them color of black and white. I called back for a quote and was told they would call me back with a number. They have not called yet though.

I considered Vista Print but they do not seem to have a 5 x 7 option.

That's what FI said. With 194 guests (and counting) he said we could do it on our own. Since my photographer friend could not do it (and may not be free until after 12/20) we decided to try it ourselves. Plus, the quotes I got for engagement pics were $300 - $400.

I take a lot of our vacation pics with my tripod so why not engagement pics.

I told FI that you thought the wording all on one side was not balanced and the black lines were too harsh. We added the border and split up the wording.

Actually, it was not hard at all. I have Print Shop 12 on my computer and just used the postcard maker. I started from scratch instead of using a template though since I had an idea of what I wanted the card to look like already.

We did a test card to figure out how to use the program. Then we took different pics and played with them for about an hour to get the card.

After it was done and saved, I just hit select all, copy and I pasted the card into my Dell Picture Software file to save it as a photo/jpeg file.
