We went to 5. The Bayview House at Captain Bills, The Metropolitan, Carlyle on the Green, Bridgeview Yacht Club and TC.
We did a decent amount of online research before hand and wouldn't see a place that did more than 1 wedding at a time.
TC was the last place we went to and as soon as we walked in, we knew it was where we wanted our wedding.
Good Luck! We had such a great time visiting all of the RH's.

Re: Looking @ RHs
We went to see Nautical Cruises at the Nautical Mile (yeah we were considering a boat at one point), Surf Club, Westbury Manor, Antuns of Queens Village, Coral House (we were originally booked here), and the Swan Club. So 6 all together

Re: Looking @ RHs
I went with my mom and sister and looked at five. When I fell in love we stopped looking and then I took FH for final approval.

Re: Looking @ RHs
We had a list of about 10 but only made it to 5 and booked the WCC right on the spot. You just get a feeling when you know it's the right one (kind of like your dress!). As long as you're getting a good deal, it doesn't matter how many you see.

Re: Looking @ RHs
We went to Fox Hollow, Chateau Briand, Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury Country Club, The Inn at NHP
We pretty much picked FH to begin with.. but we went to CB and he loved it... so all it really did was start a couple of frustrating arguements over where to book.

Re: Looking @ RHs
I went crazy with online research and made of spreadsheet of all the RHs i wanted to see....the list was about 20. FH and I ended up seeing about 6 (i cant remember them all), and as soon as we saw the sandcastle we stopped. I did wanna go see chataeu le mer....but its over and hour away from us so i dont know if its right to force people to go that far. I dont think there is a set # of places you should see. Go until you find, 'THE ONE'.

We looked at three RH....but FH called at least ten others and talked them into giving us prices over the phone (because of his crazy schedule!).

Re: Looking @ RHs
Hi Ladies, I am new on this website and found it to be extremely helpful and fun to read! I dragged by fiance to many places this week: -The Hamlet --> beautiful country club, biggg built in bar -Bridgeview Yacht Club--> beautiful but minimum of 200 on Sat night is hard -Bourne Mansion---> extremely expensive site fee but if your not on a budget it's amazing - The Inn--> beautiful when you get inside, amazing cocktail hour options - Sandcastle--> includes everyyyyything in it's package -de Seversky Mansion---> breathtaking and in an amazing neighborhood but almost $200 a head for a Friday but site fee and doesn't include much at all.
I am getting very tried and frustrated!! My friends from college have weddings out of NY/NJ area and they are SO MUCH cheaper.
*** Please answer these questions if you have time: 1) Does anyone know if Warehouse 5 (the club next to Bridgeview Yacht Club) is open during weddings and if you can hear the music during your wedding
2) Do any of you get shuttles for your friends if they are about 30+ minutes from your RH?? My friends are big drinkers and I don't want them to have to hold back to drive home... is that an affordable options??
Thanks Ladies!!!

Re: Looking @ RHs
hmmm we saw VYC, CLM (which we loved and wanted but figured we'd look at some more, but we ended up with CLM), Sandcastle, Swan Club...and I think that is it.
so 4, but we knew at #2. We had planned to see a lot more, but it was a huge snow storm that weekend and we had to cancel some.

2. I've been to a lot of weddings, knew I didn't want to travel too far from the church and FH and I had very specific ideas on the type of venue we wanted so we didn't really feel the need to go to many

We only saw one, we fell in love with Russo's and we knew our search was over. My original plan was to see as many halls as it took to find the one.

Re: Looking @ RHs
we looked at 3 and i fell in love with all 3 haha, but none of them could fit my huge wedding and russo's fit the bill and it's always a pleasure being there.
