Looking for a beach weddding venue with casual elegance
I am looking for a ceremomy/reception venue that is on or close to the beach. We were originally considering a destination wedding in Key West, but now have decided to stay close to home. We don't want any venue that has a catering hall feel to it. We would prefer a location that is unique and holds some of the beauty and charm that a Key West location would have. Our guest list will be around 150 and we are hoping to have the wedding sometime next summer. We are also willing to hold a destination wedding that is within a few hours driving distance for our guests. Because we are getting married next year, we will have a strict budget.

land's End or Glen Island Harbor Club.
or...what about something way out east. Gurney's or the south hampton inn.

what about sands lido beach or sands atlantic beach?
or that new hotel in long beach...allegria??

Crescent Beach Club is expensive!
Good luck! Pick a few dates to be as flexible as possible!

I think sands is closing?? Theres one down there that a 11' bride was getting married at and now its closing

What about The Allegria in Long Beach? That is where I am getting married on Saturday.

Thanks! I am actually going to look into the beach clubs in that area too. I didn't knoow that the Sands Beach Club was closing.

I would totally suggest the Old Field Club in Setauket! My FH and I almost booked with them. It's on the water and the reception hall has a very rustic feel. I love it there

I know Gurney's Spa in Montauk does weddings and they have a very relaxed casual atmosphere..Saw a wedding there once and it looked very nice.

surf club in new rochelle
if you dont NEED sand but just casual water-y feel, check out chatea le mer. if they weahter is nice, you make your grand entrance by boat!

I second the Old Field Club!! It's on the water, has hard wood floors throughout ballroom, outdoor deck for cocktail hour, french doors...I could go on and on because it's beautiful!! Check out my album for pics!

There are also some country clubs on the north shore you should check out... like Shoreham Country Club and there's also one in huntington. GL!!!

Thank you so much for all the suggestions...These are all places I would never have thought of. I just started the planning and already I am overwhelmed I love the Old Field Club!
