Hi All....I am from Staten Island and I am currently looking for a hall for my 2008 wedding. Being that I have not been to any functions on the Island I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on some places that were worth while to look at. So far I have looked at the Inn at New Hyde Park and the Jerricho Terrace. Next on my list on Chateau Briand, Fox Hollow and Leonards...any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I'm from Queens too.. but i fell in love with Chateau la Mer from what i read and saw on this site.. so my fiancee and and I went to look their and fell in love with it even more and booked it on the spot. It is right on the water and the price was great.

Re: Looking for a hall in Long Island
Okay so first I have a silly question, what is FM? Next, please let me know how Jericho Terrace is, I am going there on Firday (8/4). I am also looking at Russo's & Marina del Rey in the Bronx. Anyone know about these places?
To be honest the Jericho Terrace is nice just not for me. The room for the cocktail hours is really nice. Russo's on the Bay...I have been to 3 functions there over the last year and I have to say that all 3 times the food was lousy. The place is very nice and the service was great but the food really was terrible. I was also going to look at the Marina del Ray. If you go soon let me know how it is...hope this was helpful.

My prom was at Marina del Rey and it was really nice and the food was good.. but that was 6 years ago.

Re: Looking for a hall in Long Island
my cousin is having their wedding at MArina Del Ray and I heard from my friend that it is beautiful and always a great time.
Russos, I have had my christmas parties from my last job there (they went all out)
But my friend it gettin married there and from what I hear it is beautiful place for weddings. I love their food so I guess it is all a matter of taste!
