looking for big band/jazz group

I'm searching for a band that specializes in kinda old fashioned music-like big band and jazz,some motown for dancing-but no disco ,80's, or 90's I know there have been alot of post about band but I don't know what kind of music they play- will any of the bands posted play only this music if we ask?

We were looking for the same thing actually. We've since changed our minds because we've since been to 8 weddings and while we LOVE the swing/jazz scene ourselves, we observed that really half of the guests cleared the floor whenever the band played that type of music.... SO, we've decided to go with a band that we saw at our cousin's wedding that was VERY classy and played mostly old stuff, but included some motown & disco when things started to get a little slow on the dance floor. The thing to look for is a band that will customize to your musical taste, but will know how to work the crowd if they see that your guests aren't dancing to what you requested. Prime Time

Prime Time Live played the music you mentioned when I saw their showcase and their brass section was excellent. They did play some 80's disco but if you tell them not to I'm sure they will listen.
