Re: Looking for custom tailoring and veil makers

There is a woman in Brooklyn who custom makes the most beautiful couture veils.

Johanna at JCouture Designs
Park Slope
...i think she has a website.

I used her for alterations and was sad I didn't have her do my veil as well after seeing her work!

Try here:

They custom veil and headpieces - I got my veil and headpiece here.

Sposabella-La Sposa Veil
8207 5th Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11209
(718) 680-9665

I ordered a plain, 2 tier, elbow lenght veil (one of the teirs will be my blusher)

And here's a picture of my headpiece - sorry it isn't that clear.

I'm having my dress custom made (pic in avatar) by a woman in Washington heights, that was referred to me by numersous ladies from theknot.com Her work is phenominal! She will also be making my veil.

I am selling my Hanson's / Sew Deb silk tulle veil. It is single tiered, 120 inches(may be a little longer I have to check). It is in perfect condition. I only wore it for my 30 minute ceremony and then changed into a short one I had made for the reception. The reception was on a wood deck and the long veil would have got snagged. All together the veil cost me around $300 with shipping and material and sew deb's costs. It is beautiful, plain, simple and I got like 1000 compliments on the silk. I though silk tulle would not be so much different from regular tulle but it is. It just flows in the wind like you would not believe. It is the softest material you have ever touched. With the silk tulle you really want to stay away from adding detail to it. It is better simple. Email me if you are interested. Thanks... [email protected] or through liweddings.com.
