I guess we don't have a budget really.. just not more than a couple g's nothing crazy..

Perhaps Boston/DC/Rhode Island.. something liek that.. easy going and something dif.

We were going to go and vist friends in Chicago, but thank god we couldn't go (his friend is a travelling district sales manager) bc they got hit with soo much snow.. lol

Marcella I asked cause I know you have the house now and thats where your financial priorities are.

We had a great weekend in Rhode Island, they have great B&Bs there, shopping, restaurants and nightlife there. We loved it.

I can tell you the B&B where we stayed if you like.

Pilgrim House inn Newport RI

Marcella, if you search there are alot of nice B&B in Newport (if you don't like this one or find it expensive).This was was referred to us. The Innkeepers are nice (husband & wife) and it was so cozy & clean.

We went to Boston 2 year ago and stayed at Mary Prentiss Inn in Cambridge... We enjoyed our stay there, and especially be breakfasts (totallly not healthy, but once in a while ok)

If you are looking for a real getaway from it all type thing...Dh and I stayed here last week...

The house is gorgeous...breakfast yummy! It was really beautiful. It's right down off Catskill Highway 28, and right down the road from Bellayre Mountain if you like to ski. Not that far from Hunter either. Lots of antique shops and things in the area. Also a really cute town called Margaretville is very close. Great great great restaurants and little small town shops!

Do you want something driving distance or would you fly?

My sister and her boyfriend just booked a long weekend in New Orleans for about $750 for 3 nights - really nice hotel & airfare.
