Lori- How was your Aug 24th wedding?

I heard your flowers were AMAZING by two people now. Denise at the Hamlet and Ciro, he is my hairdresser too! I cannot wait to see the photos and hear the details. Also, I hope you have flower photos. I heard you had trees and I want to see how that turned out.

Hey Michele......

My wedding was perfect!!! Yes, the flowers were amazing - Spitz & Peck. I guess the trees they are talking about was the arch that I walked under. I had the ceremony there. The night went so fast. With the help of Ciro and Jacqueline my hair & make up were perfect. My DJ - Mike from EJ the DJ was terrific. I'm still getting compliments about him. He had everyone dancing all night. My photographers Ken & Barbara from Laurie Studios were wonderful. Again, everyone said how great they were to work with. I haven't see my pictures yet, but I am sure they are great. I did the video through the DJ, I hardly saw him through out the night, also great to work with.

The Hamlet.....truly amazing. If everyone that works there is like Denise I can't see how they can go wrong, EVER!. From the day I went to check it out to the night of my wedding, I could not have asked for a better for catering manager. She was beyond great to work with and she left everyone assured that the night would turn out perfect and it did! I can go on for days about Denise and the Hamlet, but you get the message. If I forgot anything, please ask away......

How was your dealings with Men's Warehouse? I also booked the tuxedos there.
Which food did you have on your main menu? Denise mentioned you had trees by the band/DJ area under the sconses (sp?). I am sooo happy you had a great day. I am going to send you a forum mail also.

Lori, Conrats! Everything sounds wonderful. Did you have the wall opened or closed? I booked Laurie Studios as well. Please keep me posted on how your pics come out. Is Barbara the second photographer? I am still trying to decide if I want to add her for my day.

Good news- I heard from the new manager that the wall will be papered any day now. So no more ugly wall :)

Yes. His name is Rodney. He was very nice when I met him while visiting the Hamlet one day.

Yes I am. I still feel that the other room doesn't match. The lines are not matching at all and I just don't see the point, unless you need the light coming in from the cocktail room. I have a Nov. saturday wedding so there is no light anyway.
Oh, and Denise felt it necessary to comment to me about my posts. She doesn't think it is fair of me to 'upset the other brides for NO reason'. I felt that was out of line honestly. That is why we are here, to help each other.

Also, I am really glad that they decided to wallpaper the wall, I really didn't like it the way it was. Do you know whose decision it was to wallpaper it and if it had anything to do with our posts?

I agree, we are here to bounce ideas off each other and I appreciate your comments about the wall. It is an issue I might not have thought of until very close to my wedding, which may have caused more panic than it did 10 mos before Besides, I don't think that you upset us at all!!

Either way, I am glad that they are making it more pretty so that you don't have to buy/rent trees

I am glad that I didn't upset you all. I couldn't believe her comments. She does read our posts, I guess.
I have NO idea why the cocktail room and wall have been improved. I can only hope that we all had an impact. I know the new manager told me he felt it needed to be done asap.

you completely did not upset me about the wall issue in any way. In fact, I was so relieved when we all talked about it and when you posted the pictures. It was a big concern that i had and now i feel that i don't need to worry about it at all.
