Re: losing weight

I am so inspired by all you girls - good for you! I joined Jenny Craig 2 weeks ago and have lost 9 lbs. I have done WW in the past and think it too is a great program but for me personally, I found it easy to stray from. I had gotten so heavy by this summer that for me Jenny Craig was the best way to get started because everything is already in my refrigerator . Their food is great too. Hope I can have my picture up here like the rest of you ladies!!

lol move biiiish lol nice

all u ladies are inspiring me to loose my last 10 lbs... i was always known as the anorexic looking girl with long hair and glassses...then pops died and i gained 25 lbs..its makes me soo angry when ppl from my past see me and say 'omgg u gained os much weight!' een some girl from JUNIOR HIGH that works @ stop n shop recognized me ( i had no idea who she was) shes like 'wow u gained a lot of weight , u used to be soo skinny'.. i actually held back tears(and punches ) and left the supermarket and just cried in my car.

im sick of weighng myself everytime i walk by the scale and being disapointed..

i dont even go out much anymore cuz i feel grotesque .watever sorry im just venting..

Re: losing weight

Okay here are before and afters.... the last one is stinky but you can see my body.

it was a total of 118 lbs. it took me over 1 1/2 years to do it but i did it on my own and no surgery or pills. I changed what i ate and just the portions. its hard to get used to but once you do, your body doesnt feel as hungry. i got into the notion that i had to eat to live and not live to eat. Hope that helps some girls :) im here if you need a push :)

OMG you look like two different people. I dont think you were ever 'that big' though. So you really put on weight evenly which is a good thing. The first pic you look like you were 14.

im 5'2 so when i gain weight you can really tell. Most importantly i just wasnt happy with how i felt, and didnt feel comfortable in my own skin. I was always thin or average, i always had fluctuated but before it used to be up 10 pounds down 10 pounds and then all of a sudden i was approaching 40 pounds heavier than i normally was. Yeah evenly gave me that round shape hahahaha. Also in the before pic, it doesnt help that my face is soooo red and my hair all messy, we were in a bar and it was like a sauna in there

hahaha yeah look at how dark my lipstick was too. You cant see clearly but the date says 2/27/1998, so it was a week after my 18th birthday.

So after I typed a whole response it kicked me off.

But I definitely know what you mean about feeling uncomfortable in your own skin. And the dark lipstick!!! OMG that was the HOT shiet in the late 90's.

yeah i am starting to feel like that again. Its how i feel when i sit and just how i feel in my clothes and even without my clothes haha. I loved how i felt when i ate healthy and worked out, i had more energy, and just felt great in my own skin. Thats one thing that helps to motive you, remembering how you feel when you are doing the right thing.

OMG i know its so funny, im sure i had on dark brown lipliner with that lipstick

I feel the same way -- so uncomfortable in my own skin. I just had to do a frenzied shop at Macy's on Friday night because none of my work clothes fit me anymore. It was so terrible shopping and not enjoying it. I bought a bunch of flowish dresses to hide my bulk. I refuse to go shopping for a wedding dress until I lose a bit of weight. I saw a dress I liked on TV and pointed it out to my mom. Her response? 'That's a skinny bride dress.'

grkbarbie -- I know how you feel. I gained over 30 pounds when my father died. I cant believe someone said something to you -- SO RUDE!

oh god the shopping part is horrible. Like i said in another post on here. After YEARS of working out and eating healthy, after the wedding i decided to give myself a break and indulge and ive gained weight. I had to buy a dress for a wedding i attended last week and what a horrible experience. NOT one size fit me, the problem was that the dresses that fit on top are too big on my waist, and dresses that fit on my waist are too small on top. Im a 36D when im a size 4, so now that im bigger ive gone up in bra size too and its annoying bc nothing is fitting right, unless i get stuff altered. I finally just had to buy a dress and had to go with one that was a little bit bigger on me just bc i had no choice. And it was sad seeing how many sizes i went up made me realize i have to get back to my routine

Re: losing weight

Thank you to anyone who congratulated my weight loss.

To anyone who feels bad about people saying sht to you: I've been in both situations: the fat girl and the skinny girl. People said sht to me about being fat. Now I hear from some people , 'You need to stop losing weight' 'Are you anorexic?' and 'Why dont EAT something, your too bony'

People are NEVER happy= they're always gonna say something. You're either too big or too thin. You just have to find a place where YOU feel comfortable.
