Ok, so how the heck does an invitation not even arrive at someone's house? We had them hand cancelled at the post office, and have a return address on them? So annoyed. Just heard from one couple it never arrived. Now am paranoid it happened to some others.

Re: Lost invitations??
We were on the receiving end of not receiving the invite. I am not sure how it happens but it defintiely does. I am sorry this happened.

Re: Lost invitations??
I had the same problem. I had about 10 invitations that never made it to their destination and I never got them back either. Mine were also hand cancelled. Thank God I had ordered a ton of extras but it was annoying nonetheless to have to check with everyone and re-send.

Re: Lost invitations??
This happened with my shower invitations. About 4 people just never got them. They didn't get returned to my MOH either. Of course FMIL thinks it was done purposely to insult her family but that's another story.

That worries me also because there are some people who I expected to hear from way before now!

Re: Lost invitations??
We got the address wrong by one number on FH's cousin's invite, and their neighbor wrote all over it and returned it to sender. We then hand dropped it off to him. Some things will come back to sender, but I think it's weird that it got lost and never came back.

Re: Lost invitations??
I had a few invites that never made it to the people, but what irritates me is that the post office where I live holds return mail for almost 6 months before returning it to the orginial sender!
My work is just getting things back from the post office we sent out to employees back in October! And they gave it to us all together in a bundle so I know they are hoarding it! If employees dont pick up their last paycheck, we have to send that in the mail... can you imagine?

Re: Lost invitations??
My dad said that while he was getting his haircut one day, a mailman came in to deliver the mail. They started talking (no clue why) and that conversation came up. The mailman said that unfortunately some mail carriers will through it in the garbage if it's not sorted into the correct zip code or whatever. They are lazy! Also, sometimes what happens is that invitations/RSVPs get shoved in between other mail and other people get the mail mixed in with theirs. Regardless, that's terrible! GL to everyone! I hope all of your invitations go to the correct destination safely!

Re: Lost invitations??
UGG I hate USPS, my postman is a complete moron. If i get any RSVPs it will be a miracle. my neighbor didn't get the invite to my e-party twice and we didn't get the invite to my friends baby shower. Its so frustrating.

Re: Lost invitations??
Laura, something similar happened to a shower invitation that I had hand canceled!!!! It was to a friend of Donna's, and the PO put a sticker on it re: the addressee's Daughter!!!!!!! So, I marched that puppy back to the PO, and told the guy very nicely, 'I have no clue why this sticker is on here, since the invitation is for the Mother, and yes, she does live at that address!!!!!!!!' He just shook his head, like he didn't have a clue about it having that sticker, and why it was returned to me!!!!!! Someone must have been daydreaming that day!!!! Mary MOB
