Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

I seriously have a problem with misplacing/forgetting my engagement ring.

Since I got it about a year ago, i have freaked out about 5 or 6 times thinking i've lost my ring. Sometimes I just forget to put it on in the morning and mid-day i'll realize i don't have it and start freaking out that i lost it. Other time i'll put it down to do the dishes or something and forget it until hours later. One time, i put it on top of a candle while i did the dishes and a few hours later i went back to get it and i couldn't find it. I freaked out and trashed everything in the kitchen looking for it, only to find that my FH had moved it because HE was worried it would get lost. Jerk!

I've been so much more diligent about it lately. I've been putting it in its box on my side table every night. I've been using hand sanitizer at my office instead of washing my hands every time... i put it in my small purse pocket when i get my nails done... but this morning i woke up and couldn't find it again. I trashed my room and my bags looking for it and basically gave up and wanted to die...came to work late, and found that i had left it in my office bathroom (we share with other offices on the floor) and THANKFULLY a kind woman from another office kept it safe and put up a note in the bathroom.

*** is wrong with me!!!! Anyone else have this problem?

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

I only remove my ring at home and when I take it off I put it in the ring holder on my night stand table.
I don't think it's necessary to remove your ring when washing your hands. My biggest fear would be it falling down the drain.

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

I only take my ring off when I take a shower and then I make sure I only leave it in the ring box on my nightstand. I leave it on when I wash my hands/do the dishes/etc.

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

Oh my gosh that’s the worst feeling ever! I use to do that with a ring my FH bought me just as a gift one time b4 we were engaged.
Panic sets in really quickly!

The only time I take off my engagement ring is to put lotion on my hands or when I am in the shower. I always place it either in its box, or if I don’t have that by me i place it on top of my Iphone b/c that’s attached to me like glue so I know my ring is in my direct line of sight if it's ever off my hand.

Re: Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

As soon as I get home I take it off and put it on my ring holder. I don't take my ring off when I wash my hands.

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

I'm so afraid that I'll lose my ring! I always put it back in the box immediately when I get home and don't wear it around the house. In the colder months, my ring is a little loose on my finger so I am constantly playing with it to remind myself I have it.

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

I JUST did something like this on Sunday. I took my ring off to cook put it on the table and hours later I noticed it was off. I couldnt find it anywhere and started to freak out really bad. I found it like a half hour later on my table centerpeice SMH.

I think its just we brides have so much on our minds we forget.

Try not taking it off when you wash your hands. I also have a ring holder by my bed that i put my ring on usually when Im home. I also want to get one for the kitchen

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

Aghhh I hate that feeling!! It's happened to me once or twice - I almost left mine at the nail salon......But I try to only take mine off to cook, shower, and workout. I sleep with it too. I would definitely lose it otherwise. My husband lost his twice already (the day we purchased it and in the pool on our honeymoon). Thankfully, he found it both times.

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

This was the first time i've actually left it somewhere. Usually i just forget where i put it or someone else moves it (AHEM FH). I just really need to be more aware of it. My mind is so totally scatterbrained at work because i do a million things at once.

I'll just have to hold my pee until i get home everyday so i KNOW i won't leave it in the bathroom HAHAHA.

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

i only take my ring off at home when i shower and polish my nails. I have several ring holders (people gifted them to me) and I don't take my rings off in public places.

I actually recently read somewhere that they said to not take off the ring in public places and just make sure you really dry it well.

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

It is either on my hand, or in my ring bowl. I do not take it off to shower even if I should. I do take it off to work out, but again, it goes right into one little ring bowl.I am terrified of losing it. Mentally.I think i am aware of it at all times.

It only comes off when I'm at the gym, in the shower, or when I go to bed. My BFF bought me a high heel ring holder so I always put it in there

Lost/Misplaced Ring Crisis

Am I the only person who doesn't take off my ring?! Lol. I take it off to wash dishes and to dry my hair (or it gets tangled in my hair). I shower, sleep, and get my nails done with it. I wash my hands with it too. I would lose it if I didn't leave it on all the time.

I know it's not so much about this, but do you have your ring appraised and insured? I am a lot less worried about losing my ring now that mine is. I know it's about the emotional connection to this ring, but now I feel like I can leave the house with it on. Lol
