how can you tell if an LV bag is authentic? obviously some just LOOK fake... but i purchased one online and it was described as being 'authentic'.... but i have my doubts.... i only paid about $250 for it. (it retails for like $1400+)... is $250 too much for a knock off? (even though i'm HOPING its not!.. otherwise it was falsely advertised)

If you bought the bag at LV and paid full price, I bet the dog you put inside cost you less.

Jess, if you paid via Paypal using your credit card, you can get a refund if the bag is fake. It is against Ebay rules to sell fake bags on Ebay.

It is probably fake.
I like the look of those pet carriers but I take Molly to and from work every day. I can't imagine how heavy that thing would be considering my speedy bag (which is real) weighs a ton when I have all my stuff in it!!!!
Let me know if it's really heavy when you get it.
Have you seem the Juicy Couture carriers? They are REALLY cute.

You can def tell if a Louis is fake or not. I see fakes all the time. My friend's sister bought a fake and then a real one when she had enough money. The fake ones have a painted look on the handles where the leather(of the handles) meets. There are other signs to but I cannot remember what they are.
Personally, I would never buy a knockoff of something, especially for $250. That's $250 wasted and I couldn't even justify it to myself by saying I was paying for the name because it's not the real thing. If I cannot afford the real deal I don't buy it.

hmmmm.... i used BidPay.... interesting... she distinctly says 'i do not accept paypal'... if its a bad fake i will get a refund (she does do refunds)

it *says* that it is lightweight... but we shall see..... ! i havent seen the Juicy carriers, but i dont really like Juicy for some reason.... i want to see the Speedy bag. i dont think i have yet

but it MAY be the real thing. like i said, it says its 'authentic' but i just cant see how i got such a deal if it is..... but i am good at spotting these things.
