Re: Love Stamps
I'm sorry but EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
They are UGLY!!! They have got to have the other ones. I'm pretty sure that my friend got an invite with the exact ones that were $.34. (but were $.37) I would go to the post office & ask! Hell I'd take the teddy bears over that one!

Re: Love Stamps
they aren't as nice as some of the past ones, but i'm probably going to use them anyway...we will probably be the only people who notice!!

Re: Love Stamps
Honestly we should ALL complain to the USPS about the Love stamps. They are NOT elegant, they are ugly. And they should know that really brides are the only ones that use Love stamps.

Re: Love Stamps
I second that and I also think they should give us a little more variety with stamps for invitiations. Don't tell me that the Post Office doesn't make a ton of money off of us brides as it is!!

Re: Love Stamps
I looked on the site and saw some other love stamps available but they are marked 'commerative'. Does that make a difference, ir can they be purchased and used as well. There were two other love stamps and the end of the 1st page, and on the 2 nd page. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Re: Love Stamps
On that stampsonline website they have the old love stamps in a wedding rate change kit. They have the old love stamps and then 3 cent stamps with it. And 57 cent stamps. All in one package.

Re: Love Stamps
Brides are not the only ones to use Love stamps, Michele. Brides are just the only ones to STRESS about them!Go to USPS.com, and order the love letters love stamps that I used last year. They have them in $.34, $.55, and $.57 - just buy the extra postage...it's not that big a deal.
OR, use the adorable Teddy Bear stamps that just came out!

Elena
If you can't open the lind I put above, go to USPS.com and look into the combo packs in the stamp store

Re: Love Stamps
I didn't particularly like the design of the LOVE stamp and they didn't exactly match my very elegant ecru invitation with gold edging, but we are using them anyway. It is postage and unless we are going to hand deliver our invitations there is no way to avoid using them! ( I loved the Teddy Bears too, but my mom vetoed that!) But the lady at the post office didn't help the situation when she made a bad face when we asked for the new love stamps. After we asked her for 200 of them, she kept going on about how she thought that they were so ugly!! How funny is that!! This may not make anyone feel any better, but no one pays any attention to the stamps, unless of course they are a bride in the midst of all of their planning ( like all of us!) :)

Re: Love Stamps
You are right Lauren, it is ONLY a stamp and no one really cares about it, except us that is!!

Re: Love Stamps
I'm sending out my invites soon, and am jealous that brides of past years have had nicer ones than me. I totally understand what you guys are saying. On the other hand though- We are a sad bunch!

Re: Love Stamps
Check the USPS.COM I just bought my stamps (in case they discontinue them, I don't need them until february) they still have those with the 'love letter' theme, and they have nice flowers too, they are 34cents you would need the ugly 3 cents stamps, but ... I like them better than the new ones.good luck,
Elena

Re: Love Stamps
If it makes anyone feel better, remember your guests will very likely throw away the outer envelope (where the stamp is affixed) and just save the inner one to hold the wedding details.Don't sweat the stamp thing! Of course, that's easy for me to say when I got to use the beautiful love letter stamps last year

Re: Love Stamps
i personally don't care about what they look like. I care about the invite itself. I got an invite to a wedding the other day and it was so plain! Now that I commented on.I already threw the outer envelope in the garbage and to be honest, i never even looked at the stamp. i forget which one it was!

Re: Love Stamps
I am the queen of tiny details and I think stamps are one thing Im pretty sure NO ONE really notices. If pretty stamps were available to me, I would have defintiely used them - but when i was ready to send out the invites, the only ones the post office had were the ugliest options out there - orange eagles and a woman pilot for the RSVP.Whatever!
Hopefully USPS will get their act together soon but this is not something that was high on my priority list.
