Lovin' Oven Brides

I had my food tasting at the Vanderbilt Mansion today, and just wanted to let you know that the food was amazing. It was the best wedding food I've ever had and the presentation was great too. Everything was delicious, I don't know how we'll decide on our menu. All of the staff there were so nice too.

Thanks - my wedding is at Flowerfield in 6 months and 4 days (but who is counting )

Thank you for the review!

Were there any dishes that stood out?

The Chilean Sea Bass was fantastic! The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the Stuffed Chicken (but other people really liked it).

I hate fish but heard the sea bass was awesome...I am definitely going with that instead of the salmon. I'm partial to the filet of beef......I'm such a carnivore

Make sure that you make time to eat at your wedding. I hear most brides say that they don't up eating the whole day.

Just have to chime in here. I have not yet done my review (i know I stink!) but i just had my wedding 3 weeks ago at the Vanderbilt Mansion!
the food was simply....incredible. everyone raved about it. and not just the entrees but the appetizers and passed hor d'oeurves (sp??). and yes, we made time to eat!!! and not only did we get anything we wanted (as the bride and groom they totally cater to you) but, they let us have one of every entree (a little bit of each) which was really nice. i am a vegetarian so it was wasted on me, but Chris LOVED it.

we ultimately chose the Filet, the sea bass and the duck, and we were so happy!!!! (and so were our guests!) Good luck!

The food is fabulous. If you don't like the free range chicken, ask about the Japanese encrusted chicken. I tasted the Chiliean Sea Bass and it was so light. Yummy in my tummy! I am hungry now.
