Lovin Oven Brides - past and present

Quick question - what does the bridal attendant take care of? What is the difference between what they do and the maitre d???

Thanks girls

Re: Lovin Oven Brides - past and present

the bridal attendant is specifically for you and your husband...but the maitre d is for all the guests...they both took care of us really well...they knew exactly where we were...but were NEVER on top of us...as the reception started the maitre d wasn't around as much...but still there...as well as the bridal attendant...they actually worked very well together...

If our drinks were half finished they would give us a fresh one...they were so awesome!!!

My bridal attendant was amazing. She stayed with me, fluffed my dress, made sure my ceremony and ballroom was set up right. She made sure I always had a drink, water etc... She took care of me totally. I cant even explain how great she was, I truly was a princess that day!

Christy - who was your bridal attendant???

Also, if you girls don't mind how much did you tip the bridal attendant??? 3 months to go and I'm getting all my tip money in order. Thanks :)

$1-2 per guest is what the going rate is...

we gave $200 for 150 guests

The bridal attendant I had was absolutely wonderful! She helped me with my hair, dress, making sure I had food, a drink, ANYTHING. She also made sure my family was well taken care of. I ended up adding more money to the envelope I had for her. The Maitred, like the other post said was there to help to, but to make sure things were going smoothly and making sure everything was ok with the guests.

Less than one week! We are getting married at Land's End and i'm so glad that I read this post. I wasn't sure how much to tip the bridal attend. Thanks!

The Maitre D over saw the entire wedding and took special care of the 2 head tables (aka the parents tables). He made sure everything went smoothly including instructing the band and photographer to do what was on the check lists. I tipped him $3 per person.

My Bridal Attendant was AMAZING. She truly was experienced, thoughtful and caring. She made sure my husband and I were attended to everything. She made sure I enjoyed my cocktail hour and ate, made sure my make up was still flawless and helped me in the ladies room. She even packed meals for us to go, so the next day we were able to eat what everyone else did. I tipped her $250 for the night.
