Does anyone have experience with returning gifts at Macy's? I thought you had a year to return gifts but I just went to 2 different Macy's and they all said I only have 6 months. I'm so confused.
Has anyone had a no-hassle experience here? I have about $400 in gifts to return and they want to give me only $100 in store credit for it!!!!!!!!!!! HELP! I thought they were be more accommodating to brides. I am not trying to scam them I just want to get $30 in credit if the guest bought the item for $30!!!!

i thought you had at least 1 year and that as long as it was on your registry they would at least give you credit for what is was listed for on your registry. try calling customer service

They have a 6 month return policy, unfortunately this happened to me as well.

The website states one year but they won't honor it. I can't believe they can conduct business this way.

I've had nothing with problems with macy's for the registry. I went to do an even exchange and they wanted to charge me a difference because when it was purchased it was on sale, and when I went to exchange it it wasn't. For real, I'm going to pay more for the same item? I carried on a bit and the guy gave me a wink and said to pretend I didn't see him, but come on. BBB is so much easier to deal with I've found.

I just returned stuff to Macys and had absolutely no problem and it was definitely purchased over 6 months ago. I went to the one in Manhattan and all I had to do was go to the registry counter, they pulled up my registry and gave me a credit for the items. It was actually great because I was returning pillow cases that were insanely expensive, like $110 and when I went they were on sale for $43 and they still gave me a credit for the full price of the pillowcases.
