Maggie Sottero Girls- Sizing?

How do these dresses run? Very small like most? IF you wouldnt mind giving examples of what size you actually are in say jeans or a dress and what size you had to take in you Maggie Sottero dress. Also- ballgown style is what I will be getting, I mean fitted bodice, out at the bottom.

mine is only one size bigger then my jeans size... made me feel not as huge as other dresses...lol

Be careful because the sizing chart for Maggie changed in 2006. I only know this because I ordered the Eleganza which is from a 2005 catalouge. The tag on the dress actually said 'use old size chart'. I was trying on 10s in most Maggie dresses but this sample was a 14 and fit me like a glove.

At the time the woman measured me, I fell just between an 8 and a 10. That was my street size too. I knew I was losing weight, so they ordered me the 8. By the time my wedding came, I did lose 15 lbs. and was a six street size. I did need the dress to be taken in, and I was very happy!
So - they run pretty true to size. They say go by your biggest measurement and order that size. However, if you have a ballgown or A-line, your hips measurement (which would have made me a 12) should not be factored in - only your bust and waist.

I'm a size four and they ordered me a size 4..... My dress is a a lace up corset and she said that the reason why i should order a four is because the laces sould be further away in the back.....hth
