maid of honor/matron of honor question? Help please :)

maid of honor/matron of honor question? Help please :)

can you be a bridesmaid if you are married....or does that automatically make you a matron of honor? Or is it just that a maid of honor who is married is automatically called a matron of honor?

(and if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it...... )

I think BM can be married or unmarried. Some people have two maids of honors (one unmarried, one married called a matron of honor.) Or you can just have one and if she is married she is a matron of honor and if not married your maid of honor.

i think maid of honor is the same thing as matron of honor except the matron is the married one..you can be a bridesmaid (even if your married) without being a matron of honor...thats just the term used to whomever you feel closest to

You can have a matron, you can have a maid- any combination or just one of.

BMs can be married as well- they are still just BMs not Matron Maids

Well, my MOH is getting married before my wedding, so she'll be a matron, but I just hate the sound of it, and I know she will too..

You can definitely be a bridesmaid if you are married. Two of mine are married.

I think you can have either or (maid or matron of honor) or BOTH if you like. There is no title that has to be given for the married bridesmaid.

Yes bonnie you can be a bridesmaid and be married...but if you are a MOH and are married you are considered a matron instead of a maid!

No. I think you can be a BM regardless. Plus, you don't have to have a Matron of Honor. I originally didn't. But I asked my cousin last weekend if she would be mine because she is getting married the July before me and I thought it would be a nice way to honor her in my wedding.

i guess if you are married then you can only be a matron of honor or be a secondary sponsor but not a bridesmaid.
